I thought it would be cool to see what a cover of One Piece looks like before they add all the drawings from Oda.
And here's the result !!
I haven't edited the right side (only scanned it) and it's from the version present in the latest volumes.
Interesting take on it.
I've never seen the cover without the colours and images lol. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Bugzee !
Yep, it took me a while though. Especially finding the background map (had to go to the National Maritime Museum of Amsterdam ! Wich is awesome !!)
I'll make another version with description tags on it :P
Damn. You went to such lengths to obtain that particular map? That's awesome.
May I ask what the name/title of that particular map is? ^^
Naaa... wasn't so long. From Paris it's kinda the town next door (500km~300mi ?)
The map is named "TYPUS ORBIS TERRARUM", but all Ortelius' world maps are called like that. The one I have is dated from 1587.
The real one -used by Shuesha- comes from "Ancient Maps Archives Edition Co., Ltd" or something like that... there is the © on the bottom left of the cover.
If you have any other questions, please ask. I'll answer ;P
Nice job! ^^
