I'm still upset over the Machamp shiny card I had lost in year 6 and my deck .

I lost plenty in the school playground back in the day. You lost a Machamp, I lost a Zapdos.

Speaking of Machamp, when I first started out playing with the cards my mum decided to take me to the store and buy me my first box set like a boss for my bday () and to my lack of knowledge back then...I chose the most crappiest box set....the Pokemon Training Challenge box set. I was just starting out. It had one crazy hype when it first got released and I obviously didn't pay much attention to the differences in box sets. xD


The only good thing in it was the shiny Machamp card and the usual ton of energy cards that come with it.

I didn't bother with the yugioh cards. The pokemon cards were bad enough. I spent every last penny on them. I would've gladly sold my other toys for more cards but my parents didn't let me.

How about Digimon? and did you ever play Beyblade Gary? What other collectibles do you have?

Digimon I watched the first season I think, but didn't care about really.

Beyblade was a little more recent for me to be into

I think I got up to 2nd season of Digimon and some episodes of Beyblades(when it briefly aired on terrestrial tv when I didn't have cable) but moved on to better thiings.

I remember when people went apeshit about that card when it was first revealed. Over here, we got a pack of three cards and one of them contained a crappy looking mewtwo. Maybe, they varied depending on region but I didn't get a good one. I probably got the worst packet at the cinema. Obviously at the time I was like "zomg zomg" but over time most shiny cards in the usual packets looked way better and more detailed too compared to the one they gave out during the first movie release. <_<

I got my first pack with a part of my lunch money for that week and yes, I got tons of the energy cards(the yellow circles with the black lightning ). I didn't get the Machamp card until a few sets later iirc.

I remember I had this Blastoise toy I got from Burger King that could be filled with water and would blast it out. They had a few other ones; I had a Chansey(?) Spin top toy too.

I completely forgot about Beyblade! omg!

I think it's something that should remain that way; sorry for bringing it up~
