Oh, so you wanna play the blame game?
Yes, I really like Traphik. Even though most of his lyrics is about sex he always make interesting parallells and innuendos. *smile*
Oho, haven't read it but I assume it's because he starts the song with "It's J.Reyez, the Korean guy. I represent the Asians, we all chinky eyed." or something like that.
He's received a lot of hate because of that line but seriously, if an artist would sing "I'm Bruno, the Swedish guy. I represent the Swedes, we're all gay socialists who likes rainbows." I wouldn't really care.
Of course I wouldn't jump in joy but even though he's stereotyping the asians it's better that it comes from him than someone from a different ethnicity. And if he brings it up himself he will be pretty much immune towards comments like that.
Yep. That line. And I totally agree with you.
My friend and I usually talk about how we dislike Chinese people's attitudes at school, but most of our friends just shrug if off since we are Chinese. Also, we usually refer to Extra-curriculum Chinese School as Chink School, and I actually didn't know it was offensive slang for Asians until someone told me last year. >_>
Do you play an instrument? If not, what instrument would you like to play?
It's delicious, Googlez. Cookie and cream reminds me of Oreo. You should try it one day.
Even though I've answered the first part of the question, I'll answer the second part as well. Drums would be cool. My cello lessons used to take place opposite the percussion room and I thought that everything in there was awesome.
Hmm... I'm actually not so sure about DGM anymore... (Sorry riki. ) Since it went monthly and the drawing style changed, I had quite a hard time following it... But I still love the Ark in Edo arc and the Zombie arc. Actually, I think Bakuman and Sket Dance are creeping into my top 5 manga. I would always be so happy when there are new chapters of them released.
Chocolate honey nougat sounds heavenly!
Yes! Yes is it! I haven't opened the new tub yet, since I think we should finish the older tubs first... My mum is crazy with buying ice cream. We have 2 tubs of cookies and cream, 1 tub of caramel and macadamia, 1 tub of chocolate honey nougat and a tub of homemade mango, peach and orange sorbet. But then again, it's summer. And ice cream is our saviour.
Yeah, eating ice cream is not good right now over here.
Homemade sorbet sounds yummy. It must be fun making ice cream/sorbet.
Yeah, it is fun. It just takes a long time without an ice cream making machine. I didn't think that it would be so simple though. I just sucks how it's a total of about 7-8 hours of freezing. But then again, the wait's worth it in the end!
You don't use an ice cream machine? That's really impressive. How do you make it?
I got the recipe from the newspaper one day... it's originally mango, orange and mint sorbet, but I replaced the mint with peach.
It's basically just chopping up and blending all the fruit you want, mix it with sugar and water, freeze it for about 3 hours and then you chuck it into a blender again with the egg whites until it's smooth. Then you put it into the freezer again for 4 hours.
Do you want the recipe?
Sure! I would love to try it one day.
Icey whats your favorite activity when you are free?
- 1/2 cup casater sugar
- 1/2 cup of orange juice
- I didn't have mango, so I used some mango nectar instead. Make sure you don't put too much, because that's what I did and it took about 2 hours more to set. But it still tasted awesome! ) The original recipe used 1 large mango.
- Enough peach to equal a large mango. (I'm not sure how much I used exactly, since I improvised and strayed a bit from the recipe... but it was about a tin and a half.)
- 3 egg whites
1: Place sugar and 1 cup of cold water in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes or until sugar has dissolved. Increase heat to high. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 10 minutes or until mixture thickens. Cool.
2: Process peach (and mango, if you have it) until smooth. Mix in orange juice, mango nectar (if you don't have mango) and sugar mixture. Pour into a 3cm-deep, 20cm x 30cm container (actually, any container would do, just as long as the base is large, so the mixture can freeze quicker). Freeze for 3 hours or until just firm.
3: Transfer mixture to a food processor (or a blender). Add egg whites. Process until smooth. Pour mixture into the container again. Freeze for about 4 hours or until firm.
And there you have it! Whenever I have some, I usually top it with some frozen raspberries.
Ahahahaa, but this summer holiday, I've been mostly at home... like a hermit... Man, I have no life.
