I have been writing a manga script for a few weeks, and a lot of hard work and plot reasoning has went into it. Each chapter has panel guides, explaining what should be put in the panels and such. To best describe it, the story is written in play-format.
Anyhow, my drawing skills are very limited in the sense that I cannot free-draw, or draw what I visualize in my mind, and for that I am held back. I've had several people read my script and suggest to publish it as a working novel instead, due to my lack of artistic talents. However, I feel the story can only truly be appreciated through a visual aspect. Many great scenes roll through my head everyday!
The feel of the story would be sentimental/action, and based loosely around principals of Alchemy, Alkahestry, and natural energy that have been fictionalized a great deal! (I had to really read up on both subjects to understand each.)
Anyway, if you're interested in the plot and perhaps reading Chapter 0 (Which is just a short sample of Chapter 1) then please reply to this, or send me a personal message! I really hope to receive some responses to this.
Artists: If you are interested, I'd really like to see some samples of your work and whether or not you've worked with panels before. (I hear they are hard to work with at times?)
I'm interested in reading your story, you can PM me about it if you want.
Yeah you mentioned you can draw but can't free-draw. I would want to see some art you have done in the past though. Maybe you just need to use references? I know a lot of people that draw decently but are restricted in the same way you are, and their work around is researching a lot of references for the time they don't have the skill to draw what they have in their minds.
