Great match up, would be really fun to watch animated....

I would say Buggy's group will win and it would be overkill. I don't think Mohji, Cabaji and Richi can do much more than Usopp did in that situation but maybe together they could take out someone like Choo. We saw Arlong bite through stone and concrete, but Luffy was able to crush them too with his fists, as opposed to Galdino's wax which Luffy couldn't crack. Although I could be wrong, I would go out on a limb and say Arlong wouldn't be able to bite through it. And as we saw in Impel Down level 2 (even though in filler segments), biting Buggy into pieces will not get him anywhere. If Alvida matches up with Kuroobi, she will deffinately win because all of his fishman karate will just slide off of her. It'd be questionable though if she will be able to land a hit on him. I guess, if Buggy's team plays smart and goes against Arlong's team in this way:

Mr. 3 vs Arlong
Buggy vs Hachi
Alvida vs Kuroobi
Mohji & Richi and Cabaji vs Choo and Mohmoo

Buggy's team will win easily. However, if Arlong's team manages to get any of the devil fruit users in the water, that will cause a huge upset and will probably lead to their victory. I also don't know how Mohmoo would handle the battle (we didn't really get to see how intelligent he is in combat during that arc) but I would guess Buggy could use the Muggy Ball on him considering the effect we saw it had on Minotaurus.

Remove Mr 3 from the problem because Mr 3 is strong enough to singlehandly defeat the arlong pirates. No one in Arlong pirates can defeat his waX.

Mr. 3 is tough... but not that tough... he could defeat any member once... but he could not Solo them all...

It's a classical shounen issue. Any badass from earlier in the story is fodder.
I just don't see who can go through Mr 3 WAX. His defense is really good. Plus, arlong pirates are arrogant & won't even care about Mr 3. But Mr 3 will be prepared.

I have to agree with RezzieThaRapper. Kuroobi's Fishman Karate would do a great deal of internal damage to Galdino bypassing the wax armor without breaking it. Mohmoo's destructive power would also be enough to make Mr. 3 lose his footing long enough for any of the Arlong pirates to just toss him in the water (Remember what Mohmoo did to that village near Cocoyashi). This is if it was only Mr. 3 vs Arlong Pirates.

I'm just saying, you can't use the fact that One Piece is a shounen as the reason why Mr. 3 has an edge because this battle is not taking place in the canon storyline.

EDIT: Let me clarify.... Luffy's encounter with the Arlong pirates were under different circumstances than his encounter with Mr. 3. Strawhats vs. Arlong Pirates was a battle of brute strength to the death whereas Strawhats vs Mr. 3 was a battle against the clock where Mr. 3 had the upper hand having setup the battle field ahead of time. In the end, even after using all his wax abilities combined with Ms. Goldenweek's colors, he still got one shotted by Luffy based on simple instinct.

Well here it would be "plot no mi". "Plotkai" is in a different manga .
I don't know if it's a translation issue but at least I think that we shouldn't take the equality between Arlong and Jimbei to literally.
Furthermore I think that Oda did a good job showing that Crocodile is pretty strong. Even against Luffy who only won with a little luck.

But this thread isn't about any shounen issues or Crocodile. So here are my two cents: This one goes to Buggys team and agree with Anduren's first post.

Actully I would say buggy is stronger then Mr 3 it takes a little time for him to put his armor on and if Buggy just threw a muggy ball at his face he would go down as his armor is really the only thing that could let him beat buggy in a fight and the muggy balls cancel it

there is no scale of power in this some are stronger then others sure but its mainly just match ups

Arlong is stronger then some later villains and so is Buggy

Buggy's gang should be able to beat Arlong

Is kinda funny to say, but Buggy Pirate are one of the strongerst pirate crew their is right now. They not only have strong crewmen like Buggy, Mr.3 but other to and not to mention they got a big crew.

you are forgetting about crews like the shanks, and the other younkos and also the supernovas crew and also the ones that we still dont no nothing about and that are on the NW. so dont say that buggy crew is the strongest crew their is right now, cuz if that was true we history would return to the beggining lol

I think was what RealTwisted was getting at is the Buggy crew now has an excess number of Impel Down pirates who all had bounties themselves, though notably probably none above 100million. Sanji is definitely stronger individually than every single Buggy crew member, but numbers do matter.

And Arlong would not beat Foxy or Bellamy, are you serious? By the time Luffy had fought Bellamy, he had leveled up considerably through the Crocodile fight. By the time Luffy had fought Foxy, he had leveled up further through the Enel fight. Don't underestimate Luffy's desperation in the Foxy fight just because it was a bit light hearted, he suffered way more damage in that battle than the Arlong fight.

Annnnnd don't bring Crocodile into any power level discussion. If experience has taught me anything, the moment Crocodile is used as evidence for theory-piece'ing, everyone is both stronger than Akainu and Mihawk yet weaker than Luffy.

Still, at least the general consensus here is that Buggy's crew would win, which I agree with if only for Mr 3. Also wouldn't underestimate Buggy's skill against swordsman and Alvida's skill against blunt damage. Between the two of them, there aren't many attacks they can't tank.
