Re: [New] Sherlock - Pink Iro no Kenkyuu

i have yet to understand the desire(or need) to make a manga out of a foreign tv series even if it is good. drawing Cumberbatch(sherlock) is actually good but Freeman(watson) sucks.

well any case thanks Josef K.

Read the first chapter. Seems like it will be a close adaptation and the art is fine. Though I don't think it is possible to capture on paper what the actors brought to these characters(especially Benedict Cumberbatch). If at all possible, people should just watch the show first.

my problem never started from the material in the first place. it started with the need to do it. i liked the show and to be honest it is better on tv than on paper. art style generally isnt bad, but the artist facial reconstruction of the actors wasnt very well done. at least cumberbatch does seem like him freeman doesnt in most of the scenes. if anything else Lestrade and Watson looks like brothers.

so i dont think i wil cont. reading this.

Mangas have not had that bad adaptations of other media, not exactly praise worthy but I think it is decent, you can never know with a new adaptation though. But I do agree there are some pretty bad ones that just feel plastic. I am having hopes for this one.
