Yup read that one. And I agree that it's one of the best Batman TPBs out there... wait, it's not really a Batman TPB. It's really more of a Joker TPB. So in that sense I actually think Year One is the best TPB because it was more about Batman. But if you want the Joker at his most fiendish, Killing Joke is the way to go.
Wish Brian Bolland did more interior art, but he's just too slow.
So, just not to be redundant with too much threads, i merged The Batman Comics & Superman Comics Discussion Thread into DC Comics Discussion Thread. And I'll rename the American Comics Discussion Thread to Marvel Comics Discussion Thread.
lols, this thread will have practically no movement compared to the Marvel thread simply because DC comics seem more intimidating to newcomers. Not to mention the general suckyness of Teen Titans. Though DC has a lot of jems out being published. JSA is an interesting read so far, as is Detective Comics. I dont' know how to stress how easy it is for any comic book reader to jump into Detective Comics, if you know who the Batman is and who the Joker is then you really actually know everything there is to know >_>
They should get every DC book written by Geoff Johns. He's like Mr. DC now and everything he touches turns to gold. Now, if only they can pair him up with one of the Kuberts or Jim Lee, that would be awesome!
I don't think it's that intimidating to newcomers, especially with Geoff Johns on board, the guy Ichi mentioned, explaining everything. Plus there are a lot of series being renewed these days, that people can easily get into them. I recommend JLA, JSA, Green Lantern, and there are tons more I can think of but haven't tried yet. And then with Superman and Batman, you can get into both anytime, doesn't matter what arc it is. Green Arrow's always cool. And then that new Blue Beetle book has been getting good reviews lately. Booster Gold's also very fun to read, although some of that one MAY be lost on new readers since it involves him going back into time through the DC continuum.
Anyway, I just have to mention that it's weird seeing all our Superman and Batman discussions merged into one, lol, but good move all the same. Thanks, Ichi
I read DC but I don't read Black Canary and Green Arrow...
I want my Batman and Green Lantern now tho. Oh and would it kill Countdown to actually be interesting once and a while. They killed off Jokester so quickly, he had too much potentail to be offed, I wanted a Jokester vs Joker fight so badly >_<
Great... just great. Super prick versus green super prick.
A new Ion going head to head to Superboy/man Prime. I mean really, there is no way he is allowed to become a man right? And the new Ion is so freaking annoying that I hope Superman P actually destroys him. Which gets me wondering... how long is this Sinestro war going to be? I recommend it to everyone to read it because it so far and above the Civil and WWH. And when they do crossover its pretty damn enlightening. Take for example the Blue Beetle issue this month.
"My ring tells me that you are a monster"
"Well my scarab called you a bitch, so we're even now"
Priceless ^^ (of course bitch was censored)
Teen Titans is somewhat interesting, I hope they really do grow Robin's character into something good like they promised. Maybe actually make him as effective as Batman in a teen size or something.

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
Hmm, seeing that both features green-stuff and involves a major part of both companies' universe, i can't really comment on which one is worse. But i do think both acts as a failsafe. Sinestro War is a way to really end Infinite Crisis (maybe with the upcoming Final Crisis), since it involves Superboy-Prime and Anti-Monitor.
WWH is a way to make amends for Civil War, maybe it'll give them a reason to kiss and make up and no more registration act.
I found this article while browsing. It contains "sneak-peek" for DC's future, to be specific, DC's major superheroes future.
Bull bull bull. I mean for one, there is no way in hell Batman wrote down Jason Todd as the heir to his freaking Batcave. How the hell is Jason Todd going to do it? Stealing? Please, if there is going to be a new Batman it will always be Dick Grayson, he's the only side kick fully developed and responsible enough for the position. Also Jason Todd was supposedly going to be "Red Robin"... I know I hate it too, I mean why would DC name their best anti hero after a hamburger.
If I was running the show, I would have Jason Todd turn into the next Joker. Reason being that his little crusade as Red Hood was parallel to the Joker's first super villian identity.
Anyways, its all speculation. right now Batman has a crossover event and I am very well expecting a death and then a Lazerus pit resurrection.
Is anyone reading Y, Last man? Last chapter is due either this or next month. So far I've had my heart broken, not sure whether to expect a happy or sad ending for the series.
Can you imagine if Batman becomes a New God? He'll be like Darkseid, and of course Alfred will be there too playing the Desaad role. But instead of torture, Alfred would lock up the prisoners in a clean dungeon -- where they will have to eat scones for the rest of their life for breakfast.
I'm reading Yorrick too. BKV sure loves to give us plot twists. Instead of becoming the luckiest man alive (i choose the word man because the capuchin is a male), he becomes the most sought after person on Earth -- to kill.
I feel kinda bad that three fifty
