    Tachibana destroyed the Fuji's racket guy with his Lion Smash, but the ball returned to the other side.

    Didn't Shiraishi himself say he used a slice to return it?

    Hmm I can't remember that... are you thinking of this page by any chance?

    Hmm, I kinda see where he's coming from, but I still disagree. Shiraishi tried a really high lob, and the top spin on it still pushed it down too soon. Adding a lot of power would be a strategy that would work, but putting top spin on it as well is close to suicide. You'd have to put so much power on it if you were going to also add more top spin that it would be much easier to either try to purely power through it with a flat shot (Hadoukyou or the Jack Knife) or to just try to slice it to put enough counter spin on it.

    So I think I get what Sai is saying, and I agree that the top spin could be a shot that would work, but it wouldn't work BECAUSE or DUE TO the top spin. You know what I mean? Like, the top spin shot could work if you put enough power on it, but the shot works because of the power and despite the top spin (as in the top spin isn't a counter slice in this case)...ya know what I mean? I know what I mean, but it's really hard to explain :P

    I see what you mean and you're probably right that a lot of it is power, but I still see the way Shiraishi hits the shots as more of a topspin than a slice motion.

    But anyway, I guess we got some stuff out of this, so maybe the 5th counter is weaker than we assumed at first. Assuming that both discussed ways counter it, players like Tachibana and Yanagi might be able to return it and get an advantage against Fuji that way.

    It might have been. I mean, it did kind of look like a top spin motion, but it wasn't completely clear that it was. And I can't see a top spin being used to counter it. It's just kind of a dumb idea to try it. And with as much top spin as Tachibana puts on his shot, it would definitely dive way too quickly. And I don't think anyone's completely broken Hecatoncheires yet (besides maybe Tezuka, assuming Fuji used it in their match) to the point where it isn't even a cord ball. I could be wrong though. I might be forgetting.

    I think Niou returned it when he copied Tezuka without hitting a cord ball.

    Yeah, I thought that might have happened, but I wasn't sure. But I think it's still a ridiculously strong counter. It's just beatable, like all the others are.

    Bad news everyone, according to Sai and 2ch, there won't be any new chapters this month. The next chapter should be released on June 4th instead.

    Chaos, so we won't have any chapters for three months then?

    We already missed the original April release, and now this double issue misses out an the chapter we would've had for May, so June...

    Ugh...

    As Sai summed it up already, I'm just copy pasting this...

Unfortunately, that meant an even longer wait for new Shinteni chapters as Konomi wasn't scheduled to publish anything for that next issue. Really you can only blame an act of God >.>;;
