Ichigo vs. Shinji
this keeps the others ones nicely aligned Ichigo
The strawberry blond protagonist with a surly attitude and strong sense of friendship, Ichigo is an interesting hybrid of human, shinigami, and hollow abilities. Having studied martials arts since a young age, he is quite skilled in unarmed combat. Since the start of the series, he has undergone several transformations and advancements in combat ability and skill in remarkably short periods of time to become one of the most formidable characters of the manga. This consistent honing of his skills is underscored by the abilities of his zanpakutō, Zangetsu. In both shikai and bankai, he can use the technique, Getsuga Tenshō, which condenses his immense spiritual energy into an energy slash. His bankai, Tensa Zangetsu, has the effect of compressing Ichigo's reiatsu, substantially enhancing his agility, power, and endurance. Ichigo's visored hollow powers also allow him various abilities, such as enhanced combat abilities and regenerative properties.
this keeps the others ones nicely aligned Shinji
Hirako Shinji is a recruiter and the de facto leader of the Visored, and was previously the captain of the 5th Division in the Gotei 13. Shinji is somewhat comical, adding a bit of levity to situations that are otherwise serious. Shinji's zanpakutō is named Sakanade. The blade releases a scent that inverts and reverses the enemy's visual perception. Shinji claims that it is impossible to comprehend the attack directions, as the more experienced one is, the more one relies on instinct to fight, causing one to inevitably fall prey to Sakanade.

Cast your vote and discuss (logically) why you voted for who you voted for. Have fun, but keep it clean!
Shinji. Much like Starrk, Ichigo stands little to no chance here. Granted due to Hax rather than sheer godly base stats alone, but those certainly help.
To All Random Members Who May Vote Here: Ichigo has access to his "Ichigonator" form that decimated R2 Ulquiorra who himself obliterated a strong Bankai/Masked Ichigo.
Ichigo wins. Ichigo had already demonstrated that he could make short work of the likes of R2 Ulquiorra. Shinji doesn't stand a chance if faced by the same form.

Unless, you know, that form can't tell which way he actually is. Lacking a brain only helps in that regard. Even with one frankly figuring it out's a bitch. >>
I don't see Ichigo being smart enough to overcome Sakanade, so Shinji gets my vote.
Shinji destroys Ichigo, whatever version of Ichigo you want to throw at him. Shinji is a tough customer as it is, but with Sakanade, it's over. Ichigo doesn't have the brain power to overcome it, neither has he displayed the necessary reactions to possibly counter it with his eyes closed, which afforded Kenpachi a chance. I myself believe that sealed Shinji could take Ichigo on in most cases, with the exception of Ichigonator form. Throwing Sakanade and his mask into the mix however, ensures his victory.
Aizen has already demonstrated that Sakanade is nothing but a child's play.
Ichigo's hollow form is on a whole different playing field. It is able to call upon Zangestu telepathically, etc.
I wouldn't put it past Ichigo's hollow to make a quick work of Shinji

Let's do a simple break down, Hollow Ichigo vs. Shinji:
Speed: Hollow Ichigo
Strength: Hollow Ichigo
Swordsmanship: Hollow Ichigo
Reiatsu: Hollow Ichigo
I'll be voting for Ichigo
Ignoring that speed, strength, and swordsmanship are arbitrary and have no adequate way to tell without a decent comparison to make (Granted Grimmjaw was raping bankai Ichigo in speed and Shinji was raping him in speed, but throw in masked, resolve bs, and rez and that gets questionable), Shinji takes intelligence with a freaking landslide. Ichigo, Mr. CUT OFF MY ARM AND LEG TOO needs someone about a stupid as Barragon before he has decent odds to win against anyone in that category.
To all the random members out there that may vote on this match: this is NOT the uber post-dangai Ichigo that defeated Aizen!! This is a match against the regular bankai+mask Ichigo vs Shinji.
Now, with that being understood, I don't see how anyone could say Ichigo would win with a straight face. Sealed Shinji already seemed to be a lot better than bankai Ichigo. Sealed with his mask I'd give it to Shinji. He's got better control over his hollow powers, can likely hold the mask longer, and he has shown he can use kidou. Shinji has also shown some impressive reflexes. With Sakanade activated Ichigo's chances drop to zero. Ichigo is one of the least likely characters to deal with sakanade. Unless you got some powerful AoE or KS, you're in trouble.
I am not sure about the rest here, but Hollow Ichigo dominated R2 Ulquiorra who himself dominated a fully powered Ichigo (Bankai + Mask) with only an R1 release. There is at least a 10 fold difference here.
Alas, that's just my opinion though, but the prowesses displayed by Ichigo's Hollow form was mesmerizing.
Shinji hadn't displayed much feat, except take on a weak and injured Grimmjow and getting toyed around BY a sealed Aizen who couldn't have broken a sweat even if he tried.

That would be valid... were it not stupid. Lacking a mind it has no way to be able to do anything against its vision being reverted.
Even if Ichigo's hollow does come out, sakanade is absolutely the best ability bar KS to have against a berserk animal.
First of all, Ichigonator being considered in every match of this tournament is ridiculous, it's a story driven transformation. Yet in this tournament it's turned into an invincible card for Ichigo supporters to use for any situation. Second, even IF we assume Ichigonator comes out to play 100% of the time, it doesn't have the brains to even understand why the guy he's stabbing is pulling a Madara.
