Quite a relaxed little chapter...its good to get some of those sometime... i believe there will be a bit more of those easy going chapter in order to let kenichi rest a little bit more before the next important arc

Well, he said new development and what we got was Miu's kiss on Kenichi's cheek. This chapter says next issue is a new development, so to be honest I can't quite get my hopes up entirely.

At least this transitional chapter showed that the development was more than a kiss. They act like a real couple now.

And yes chikage is the next opponent. From the narrator last phrase I understand the development in question concern her. It will be interesting to see how the aliance will react to that since in the data arc she was really considered as an ally.
