The background is erased using the magic wand tool. That's the fastest and easiest way to delete the background.

Actually, that is really easy.
This is what you do if you want to link your sig to a place.

Step 1
Create your sig first.

Then edit the code.

Normally, the signature code should be something like this:
[img]the long url here[/img]

To link it to another website (call it ABC), you just need to add
[url=ABC][img]the long url here[/img][/url]

Done.
