Nice chapter full of fun. Thorfinn and Einar has become such a great friends and they'll finally be free. It's nice to see them both be happy over something for a change. And yeah! Thorfinn wants to visit Iceland, I'm looking forward to this.
I've got a feel that Einar and Thorfinn will really go each it's own way at the end of Slave Arc Part II so I hope that it'll be a long arc.

I wonder when will Thorfinn cuts his hair or shave his beard. His beard is awesome but his hair are kinda too long... Just my opinion.

I loved this chapter.

I like that it showed the other side of Thorfinn that I've never seen before. And then, in a glimpse, he turns all serious and deep and mature about this decision he's been thinking of all these years- when he asks if war and slavery could end...

what could he be thinking?

I have a feeling Ketil will... die? or maybe not. Coz if Ketil will die then their freedom could be held for a little longer and that would lead to revolt of some kind. Besides, I think this time it's the old man who'll die.

And can anyone refresh my memory? I think Thor's family has died already? didn't Iceland get pillaged or something by the army when Thor died? Or am I imagining things?

Is Ketil the name of the old man's son/farm's owner ? I forgot his name. If it's him then I, too, thought he could die during his trip. Since Askeladd's death I'm always a bit afraid of things not going on as planned.

All I can remember is the extra chapter where it was shown that Thorfinn's mother and sister kept living with the daily pain of losing Thor and Thorfinn.

On another note Thorfinn never seems that cheerful.

About Thorfinn, yeah I just thought about the same Who knows what he wants to do, I mean, he looked like he is about to kill somebody... but has sworn not to do so, so I'm really curious. Still I think it's most likely related to Canute.

I don't remind something like Thorfinn's family beeing dead, apart from Thors obviously. There even was a brief extra chapter when Ylfa hears of his death:

Even more accurate and current (even when it's now little old...) proof of Thorfinns family being alive is this page in chapter 49. Leif talks about Ylfa and page before he talk about Helga and her bad health. So I think it's likely that when (and if) Thorfinn comes to the Iceland that Ylfa will be health and sound but Helga will be dead. Just my thoughts.

EDIT: Wait a minute. Leif told Thorfinn that he will wait in that town until Thorfinn changes his mind... Do you think that Leif is actually still waiting here? That would be awesomely badass, funny and kinda sad in the same moment.

I also loved that part =D when he said 'there're some things i have to clear up' I thought about floki but there's no chance thorfinn knows that floki paid askeladd to kill thors

I just wonder how leif knew that thorfinn became a slve and was it coincidence that he went to the market (probably) nearest to ketil's farm

Amazing chapter of Vinland Saga , it sucks that it was only that ammount of pages

I am expecting to see the old man dying , so i wonder if that will bring any changes to the situation of Thorfinn and Einar. Maybe the old man is going to say to them some last words that are going to influence them.
Thorfinn visiting Iceland is a must but i kinda hope that he and Einar stayed together , so maybe before this they will take Arneis with them.

Maybe somehow they will save the old man and then they will use it to try to convince Ketil to let Arneis be a free woman

I don't think there is a chance for Arneis to be free. It's like, that's life for you. Sucks, but it has to be portrayed that not everyone can get what they want. A little negativity would be good facing the optimism for Thorfinn. hehe.
