Busy work weekend, We have an interim manager at the cafe and he began implementing some changes to how things are run there; which fair enough were good ideas since a lot of staff(me mainly) slacked in customer interaction and care. It didn't go down really well and made things lots worse but hopefully the trial and error phase will be over soon and we'll get used to the changes.

It was the last home game of the season at the football club I work at (Aston Villa) and I've been avoiding going there since I'd heard of the change in management and the fact that there was a bunch of new staff in the restaurant. Little did I realise how much chaos there actually was. We normally get briefed and go through the days menu quite early on so the manager can then brief the wine waiters and do some wine tasting and other stuff, but it was so late and rushed, then I got given someone else's tables cos they didn't turn up, the match sponsors were dining today but the wine waiter for that table had never done the job before and was cocking up majorly that the manager himself had to pour the drinks. The hostess broke a tray full of champagne glasses all over one of my tables then did the same to someone else's. I could literally just go on and on about the bad things that went on lol, BUT positive is that one of the tables I was looking after really loved me and the host gave me his business card and said to call him If I ever needed a reference or wanted to try a new job

Then I got my hair cut, now I feel Awesome.

Pretty good.

We had a little celebration since it was the last day of the seminar. We learned how to be an effective and motivated at the same time and making good habits, which I plan to implement when I write my story. ^^ There were other stuff but I'm exhausted. I'm kinda sad since I'll miss the group since they were so amazing. Everyone was pretty laidback and likes to joke around. One of the teachers was absent b/c she was in labor. Unfortunately, we didn't hear from her so she still was in labor during class time.

Well you can still keep in touch and occasionally meet up if you're from the same city and your schedules allow it . Seems you learnt a lot and it's great that you've picked up tips to use in your writing and such; outside of your professional field.

How often do you have these seminars btw?

I need to take 3 grad credits to renew my 2-yr provisional license so once every 2 years. However, the grad credits will increase as my teaching license is promoted (6 credits for 5 years, etc.)
