It really feels strange. The paceing was very slow to begin with. The Ryohei Fight was so boring and long... and now... One Chapter fights? Ich wonder if she has to hurry.
Especially Tsunas Fights in this arc seemed... not what they used to be.

Well I had fun reading this chapter. Of course it was way to short as always... But thats a good fighting chapter for ya.

The line translated as "I am my own" seems to be a sort of a joke - the character for "self" can also translate to corpse and can be read "mukuro" in certain situations. The meaning of that whole exchange is pretty difficult for me to get, however. I interpreted that bit as meaning that Mukuro did not consider Chrome+Kokuyo to be his comrades, but rather as something like extensions of himself.

Anyone else have any thoughts on it? It's quite confusing for me, to be honest.

I thought mukuro was saying that he has no emotions, but people that are loyal to him. He thinks of them as pawns to reach his only goal. Destroy the mafia world. Great chapter, but I agree that this was a fast win, but is Spade still alive? The ending scene made no sense to me.

Well, in fairness, the illusions Mukuro destroyed were just that. Illusions, and fairly obvious ones which didn't fool him for a minute. Obviously his relationship with his followers is complicated and seems pretty contradictory at times (throughout the series as a whole), but I wouldn't judge either way based on destroying a bunch of fakes. I wouldn't even necessarily judge based on what he himself says, since Tsuna has caught him lying about this topic with his intuition before (way back in the Varia tournament arc). So it's complicated. We just don't really know either way.

But I will say the last two pages about Mukuro and Chrome were interesting. As usual with Mist, they leave you confused. Spade says Mukuro got upset when he tampered with Chrome. Mukuro replies that he doesn't like being controlled. Since it was Chrome who was controlled, this seems to be implying that Mukuro literally is Chrome (or experiences what she experiences), which would coincide with what Reborn said earlier about how you can't separate the two.

Then Spade says it's transcended a normal emotional relationship to be an absolute bond. But when he says that, is he talking about all of Kokuyo, or only Mukuro and Chrome? The line "what an absurd group of guys" (I don't know if it's a mistranslation?) is confusing, and we know he has possessed some of the others before. It is possible Spade is saying Mukuro has sort of -- absorbed them all into himself in some odd way, in which case no wonder he isn't fazed by illusions of them, but it's still not a traditional emotional bond.

Dunno, because it's confusing and contradictory, as usual with Mist.

Amano made the antagonists in this arc fail so hard. Every since Shitt.P lost this arc has been downhill because the Shimon Famiglia has been getting absolutely clobbered, yet at the same time the protagonists did look really cool in their fights so it didn't really feel that disappointing. But the Shimon Famiglia has been pretty disappointing.....I would've expected more from Daemon Spade at least, even if he can't fight full power. We at least could've gotten a better look at how Julies flames differ from Mist.....also wonder what Kaoru's flames are.

The fact that we haven't seen Julie's flames is, for me, proof that this isn't over. I suspect one of two things: first that Daemon is faking having been hit or Julie's power allows him to escape from wounds that he has received somehow - remember when Kaoru hit him, he seemed to have taken the hit but then disappeared and said something immediately after about Julie's flames, perhaps implying that Julies power is what allowed him to escape that hit? The other possibility is that Daemon's intention all along was to "lose" in order to get into Vendicare, where Mukuro's body is and where he could somehow use his ability to get out of his bonds and make his way to Mukuro - perhaps even relying on the Vongola kids to bust him out as they seem to be planning?

Either way, it's not over. To be perfectly honest I suspect that Tsuna will ultimately be the one to deal with Daemon, as much as I would like for Mukuro (or better yet, Chrome) to do it.

But either way, I agree that it probably isn't over yet. The prison break-in will obviously be an important part of this arc, and Mukuro is directly relevant to that, so we'll see what happens.

ETA: As far as making the villains of this arc look pathetic, in a way, Shimoun aren't really villains, so I think their losses are actually meant to look kind of tragic, thus setting up for whatever this prison break thing is going to be.

I hope its not over too, but I don't know, the way some of the fights were wrapped up so quickly and the fact that Kaoru didn't even get to show us his powers makes me think that maybe the author just wants this arc to be over with and start the Vindice arc....which would be fine, except the author gave the same treatment to the real six funeral wreaths and kinda Byakuran too, so I'd prefer this didn't happen a third time. I hope Daemons not down yet though.

Huh, if they do a prison break, that might mean Mukuro's finally getting out, which might spur the next arc.

Either way, there's no way Daemon's down after one chap, i mean the guy survived 500 years to just end up defeated in less than 5 mins with Mukuro not even trying? Pleease, he can't be THAT bad. UNLESS! there's something he wants in vindice and he's going there on purpose...do get the arcobaleno pacifier?

And yeah, I really want Shimon and Chrome to actually do something, and fight against the vindice and daemon.

But I wonder, after Amano solves the mysteries, will she end the manga? I mean, if Tsuna becomes boss, there's not much left, unless to show how he's like as a boss.

What Daemon used was Dessert not Mist... But we've only seen a tiny fraction that it can do... We probably will see more during this fight.

The ending scene made no sense to me.

i have a crazy prediction about that...tbh to me that seems like mukuro might have been possessed by daemon but maybe he didn't realized it yet or something like that ...i mean mukuro's actions seems kinda strange and i find it weird for him to just let things off that easily and turn his back to the enemy

oohh and even though it was a illusion i'm really glad i could see Fran he's my favourite character ...i wanna see him more amano-sensei
