Here's a wiki description of the game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Resistance_(game))
The game is played with two teams opposing each other. One team is called The Resistance, who are the good guys, and the other are called the Spies who are the baddies. Each game can be played with 5 to 10 people, and the distribution of good guys versus bad guys can be seen in the table below.
Player Number 5 6 7 8 9 10
Resistance 3 4 4 5 6 6
Imperial Spies 2 2 3 3 3 4
Each round of the game has two phases:
At the beginning of each round, a Team Leader will be chosen from the participants. This will be done automatically in the order of signing up to the game, or it will be decide by the host, but in both cases it must be announced by the host.
Each Team Leader will have to propose a team from the other participants(can pick himself too) based on whom he thinks he is trustworthy to choose for a mission or any other tactic he chooses.
The number of players required for each mission can be seen in the table below.
Player Number 5 6 7 8 9 10
Mission 1 2 2 2 3 3 3
Mission 2 3 3 3 4 4 4
Mission 3 2 4 3 4 4 4
Mission 4 3 3 4 5 5 5
Mission 5 3 4 4 5 5 5
After the assignment is announced, the rest of the players will vote in the thread's poll if they accept the proposal or not. If the vote is a draw, or the majority didn't accept the assignment, then the assignment fails, and the next Team Leader will be chose automatically by the order mentioned above.
Lack of votes in the poll or people who say pass on the vote will be counted as yes votes, and the player who passes will have to announce the fact that he refuses to vote.
After that, the Assignment Phase will begin again.
After 5 rejected proposals in a row, the Spies win by default.
This phase starts after the proposal of the Team Leader passes.
Each member of the team will have to choose for the mission to succeed or to fail. However Resistance members only have the success choice, because they are the good guys, and their goal is to have as many successful missions as possible.
The Spies have both options, and depending on their tactics, they can choose either success or fail.
The choices will be submitted by PM, and it will remain anonymous.
In the end the goal of the game for both teams are to either have 3 successful missions( The Resistance goal ) or to have 3 failed missions ( Spies goal ).
PS: I have found a thread online that plays the complete version of the game...we will introduce this extended version if the players are experienced enough. Or you can request that we can play it. We will discuss more of this. Here's the thread, study it at your leisure.

Good, so we will have 5 players:
3 of these will be part of the Resistance (the good guys) and 2 will be Imperial Spies(bad guys). The Resistance's job is to find who are the spies.
The game will start, when I will send the PMs of who is what (Imperial Spies know each other).
And the game will start with gnut being the Mission Leader. His job will be the selection of people to send on the mission(he can select himself too).
ex. gnut will pick himself and digitaldude...this proposal then will be debated, and after a certain period of time, everyone will send me a PM if he agrees with the selection or not...the reason I chose the PM route, is because the casting of votes needs to be simultaneous, so after all the PMs are gathered I will publish the votes.
- if the proposal passes, then the mission will proceed with the nominated people, this will be detailed when the Mission Phase starts
- if the proposal doesn't pass, then Imperium will be the Mission Leader and we will repeat the process

Roles have been sent out!
You should know, that the content of the PM, if posted, will ruin the game. Also Imperial Spies are not allowed to talk to each other in private!
The game starts now, but for now I won't set a time limit for each phase, because I don't know what would be the usual pace for this game, and we also have different timezones. Let's call this the :
Here the current Team Leader has the responsibility of picking a team of 2 people to send on the mission. After discussion is over, everyone, except the Team Leader, will send me in PM if they agree or not with the Team Leader's choice. If there's a tie, or majority disagree, the next Team Leader will have to do the same thing all over again. After I get the votes, I will post them here, so they will be public, and people can draw their conclusions from the votes.
The Team Leader has only one shot for nomination, so please think about it carefully.
