Description: The great Glory Hill university is a place that grants fame and fortune to it's graduates. To graduate there is to become a role model for all of Korea. So when personal tragedy strikes young Yu-Cheon, he resolves to become one of those revered few no matter what. But, on the day of his entrance exam, all is not as it seems.
My thoughts: I've read through three chapters now. It seems like it's going to turn into a good drama complimented by solid artwork. The character's I'm still not sure about; but it's too early to tell.
Where you can check it out: MangaCow
Wow, there's actually ten chapters out on that site right now. I read the prologue and the 1st chapter a few days ago. Tragic beginning makes for an interesting setup.
I feel much the same. I tend to feel a little wary going into drama series because sometimes they can try a little to hard, and suffer for it, but so far I'm very happy with how Glory Hill has gone.
It's established that there are a lot of very odd and very ambitious people going into a situation they are not remotely prepared for, but maintained the protag as decent guy I can root for; which means a lot to me. And doesn't seem to be falling into the melodrama trap either.
read chapter 0-10 and the art is good the story slow and notice that those are big white gaps per image on this webtoon
A lot of webtoons do that actually. I think it's in order to make the chapters seem a bit beefier than they really are. Noblesse will do it sometimes too, as well as ToG. I suspect it comes from that fact that there is no paper printing costs for them so there is no reason to pack things close together they way old school comics do.
I give Glory Hill a pass on that though because so many of the panels are huge, and I really like that. What I don't like is when they nickle and dime you with dozens of small panels that are super spread out. That sucks.
New chap out. Boring past stories, the mangakas should get a hint this 'idol who wants to be a normal singer/actor and the mother/father is a money loving scum and dont care about the idol' thing is getting old and is disgusting really. Just dosent cut it rather makes it repetitive over all.
This early in the story and we're already getting a flashback for a side character we are not even remotely invested in at all. Just feels completely out of place and unexpected. Poor chapter.
the current chapter were just a waste of time i mean the webtoon was just starting and yet a whole flashback was given i mean the author could just make at least 4 pages of flashback and then show the present time about the exam
I don't necessarily dislike what this chapter was trying to do. I assume it's purpose was to underscore that the idol girl is just as desperate as everybody else and do a little character building.
Where it runs into to trouble with me is that the idol girl is just not pulling in my interest. I'm actually more interested to get introductions to the rest of the cast. Not to mention there are at least 2-3 girls who I like aesthetically more than her.
srsly ? give me another
I'd definitely prefer somebody else have that role. I'm not disgusted by her rather generic background though, it's just not something that makes me feel strongly either way. As long as she doesn't go all cutesy on us, I'm fine with her as a character.
