As much as i would hate to see nishi go, i have to agree with you on this one. Do you think that this is oku's intention or is it that people find nishi a fascinating character and wish to learn more about him? What really makes him tick? Does he have another side? HOW sick and twisted is he?

I for one haven't made my mind up yet. I think people will appreciate the background story none the less, regardless of whatever point there is behind its creation.

I don't think Nishi is going to die anytime soon. He adds just too much to the team and has a long way to redeem himself, which I think he will do. He is far from serving his purpose in the story and he must also stick around for when Izumi returns.

As it wouldn't make much sense as he didn't do anything special since announcing Katastrophe. Well okay, he had some lines in the last few chapters but it would be a waste to see him die.

Besides we actually NEVER saw him fuck up shit or something. I mean, he is one of my favorite characters, but I never saw him do anything awesome.
Sure, he got a lot of points in Osaka and Italy, but nobody ever saw what he did there.

So it would be a waste to let him die. A special chapter sounds nice, but I would love to see him kill some aliens much rather than KEI-CHAN! and TAEE!
