Considering that she was just introduced she's probably going to show up again. After all, all we got out of this chapter is she's Nishi's notreallygirlfriend. SO unless this chapter was just for the lulz (and I did get many lulz) she's probably gonna blip up somewhere.

Kind of a shame, I was rooting for only fat manga school girl ever made just out of novelty value.

I'm guessing this girl will be used to redeem nishi he's been a jerk the whole way through from the beginning using others as shields, not reviving the old guy, unwilling to assist anyone else, just too focused on himself he'll have to change or have some sort of change otherwise why was he revived and given a second chance besides kurono wanting answers

The way I looked at it pretty much all of it was just for show. I think he knew he was being followed pretty much from the start.

Fondness for stuffed animals was definitely for show. "Admiration for cats"..? Lol I don't think so... he picked it up by the neck and dragged it into an alleyway.... That was definitely to get her attention. He's aware of the rumors.

As far as 'healthy sexuality' is concerned... there's no reason why he wouldn't want a normal relationship with a woman. He likes to kill animals and watch people suffer sometimes, but that doesn't mean that's all he likes. Admittedly he doesn't seem very interested in this girl... but then she didn't really seem genuine anyway.

The way I look at things is... Nishi is a normal guy that doesn't particularly like the world he lives in. The people are all assholes to each other, friendships are all meaningless and anyone that even pretends things are okay are hypocrites. Plus, most people are fucking retarded. They make a lot of stupid decisions all the time and their justifications for doing so are poor at best.

So, Nishi was a normal guy that looked down on most of his peers. Then he died. Once he was in Gantz he started watching people die all around him, and every time he'd come out alive. Often on his own. That's a powerful feeling. He'd get a rush out of it every time. I like to think he got preoccupied with death because of Gantz, and that's where this particular sexual fantasy developed for him.

I think that his fantasies and his activities in Gantz are separate from his usual persona and I think he has the capacity for a normal sexuality. I mean if one day he was ejected from Gantz and lost all the technology... he'd go back to a healthy sexuality. He wouldn't go around killing animals and he probably wouldn't be killing people that attack him with the frequency that he has been lately. Sure he'd still probably enjoy watching things die but I don't think his fantasy is that essential to him.

Lol I wonder...Nishi's just hiding in the apartment all day. It'll be interesting to see how she react when she saw Nishi, though I was hoping for Nishi to meet the fat schoolgirl more than meeting her now, hmm.

You're getting your manga and anime mixed up.

The "LOVE" sign thing doesn't show up in the manga. The only real significance of that is that it involves Nishi's laptop, which in the manga his website will lead Izumi to Kurono. The Love sign is iconic it's in West Shinjuku, that's just a play of his name Nishi=West. That area of towns host to a large number of office and government buildings, I doubt the buildings important I think he's more, looking too the sky.

Nishi's never been seen killing the homeless. You're thinking of the filler characters Hajime Muroto and Kajimura Ryuji.

About the government buildings and stuffs, perhaps that's a sign that Nishi really is the son of an important man? That Gorou guy did mention about someone important in government with a name of Nishi as well

Well, he is really "different", doesn't care about the society model of life; and it's not a big deal. He has a little psychopath side? Yeah, we can see it every single chapter. But he's not just another fake rebel or something; he has his motives.

Look - one of the reasons that he's so closed with his feelings is that his mother killed herself, if I remember well, in the day he died.
And, young - about 13, right? -, Nishi died. Oh, it sucks. Worst, he died and went to Gantz room.
With 13 years old.
In the same day his mother killed herself (or in the same week, dunno exactly).

So, as we know, Gantz missions are fucking sick. Imagine him, scared as shit, having to play the game, kill aliens - sometimes with human shape - and, consequently, care even less to the others. If he didn't use his surviving instinct, yes, maybe he wouldn't be this so called monster. However he wouldn't be alive, as well. "Enjoy" see the others dying was no more than a way to habituate to his panorama - waiting people get killed to have a chance to earn more points. And, maybe one day, get out of the room.

Then could be normal some feeling by the girl - but I'm sure that was a staging.

I could see Nishi having always looked down on the world, but I wouldn't doubt that Gantz would be what started him past the point of sociopath.
It's like with Kurono early on, he was close to losing himself to Gantz. He was enjoying it, and seeing it as the only place he really excelled.
A difference was he found someone to care about. Everyone seemed to have someone keeping them going, Kei had Tae, Cherry had Tonkotsu, Kato his brother; Nishi, and Izumi for that matter, really didn't care or look to anyone. Probably a big part of why they started losing it.

And as I said, I guess Nishi's too. Part of it is because the "habituate" that I mentioned before; but no doubt that the really human side of him showed up. That's what Gantz needs to do - release the untrue personality of each one and eliminate it. The human being, for nature, is freaking hostile. Nishi incorporeted the true human side with some kind of control, creating a "don't care 'bout it". I guess that's the problem; see, the guys from Osaka, kicking asses with no regret or fear (apparently). Nishi's still afraid in the missions; if he REALLY use his "human side" (damn, said it again), guess that he would change himself into some superpower gantzer.
He has potencial.

Btw, I just hope Nishi don't die in Katastrophe; at least not now. Seriously, Oku will do a shit hurricane if he kill Joichirou in the first part of World's End.

Nishi plays it smart by sneaking up on things. He also likes to watch other people fight, struggle and die against aliens... I don't really agree with your "human side" meaning some sort of violent, uninhibited rage. After all humans can be much crueler than that.

I don't think Nishi is necessarily afraid in missions, though of course he doesn't want to get killed. The fact is that people that go one on one against aliens tend to die... even the Osakan's left the tough aliens to Oka.

To be honest Nishi seems fairly relaxed in threatening situations (school massacre, fighting the police, vampires showing up on the train, Italy, Osaka, Katastrophe etc.). Getting your arm ripped off or having your brain explode from the inside out would be stressful for anyone.
