Okay I kinda laughed out loud cos all I can see of the picture you posted was a sad looking Japanese girl. Yet I get the impression that wasn't what I was meant to see

Well... I do love DGM, I do. But maybe it's time for her to decide if she wants to continue with it, ALONE. I don't want DGM to end, or anything close to it. But she definitely can not try to draw everything herself, when then she's sick all the time. It'd pain me to no end if she gets an artist to draw and herself only writes, but... it'd be something.

The truth is that very few manga artists do it alone. Go read Bakuman as it gives a fairly accurate portrait of how manga is made. Professional artists have assistants who do all the things like inking, backgrounds etc.

I'm not surprised but I'm not sad either it's just something I've come to accept about DGM.

I think what Darjaille meant is doing the story and the art alone. As in not having a writer or an artist to make things easier. Of course she has assistants, but maybe she should consider a partnership along the lines of Obata/Ohba, as she clearly can't keep up with this schedule alone.

It's obvious when she gets new assistants as well. I can't remember a manga that was so many different changes in art style. But I suppose the hiatuses play a part in that as well.

Well, I think it's just Hoshino experimenting with her art as I very much doubt she lets anyone draw characters (let alone the main character where the changes are most obvious I guess)

Oh, really? well that's pretty accurate too xD sigh, I guess it's my punishment for hot-linking if it doesn't show in the source-link either, I'll just say that it's appearantly a small scan of a absence-note for this issue, listing DGM among other series... Nothing very fun to look at... I wish I could see the sad girl instead ._.

I'm with Darjaille there. Throughout her career, there were lots of changes in Hoshino's art. She also likes to get inspired by other manga from SQ such as Tegami Bachi. She's an artist, it's only natural.

in the picture is just saying "absent" ? or there's something like: hiatus is coming!! ??? :// Wish Hoshino stopped dgm and only returned when she was alright because seems like she is not well :/
