^ Maybe it means both the Noah and the innocence is preying on Allen D:

Interestingly, when Allen was stabbed in that chapter, the blood formed black wings behind him.. :P

Adding wings! http://www.mangareader.net/210-57363...apter-198.html (behind Allen, on the chair).
I like the idea of nohas preying on his mind/ consciousness, and the innocence too, its strange attachment (parasitic type) to his host.

Good, but still hoping for higher sales. I read the two series that got higher sales than it and I agree that those two should be somwhere in the top 5 given this list but honestly for all I care Dgray man should be #1! Volume 23 was epic no joke

Is it just me, or did DGM make a rebound in its sales? I recall it selling in the 200,000-250,000 range a few volumes ago, but my mind may be playing tricks on me.

D.Gray-man is getting more popular... I'm sooooo happy! Guess DGM isn't an old school anymore, eh?

Edit --- Wait, 300,000+ sales in a week... I'll watch for the English like a hawk and click the buy button as soon as the book is ready

    Re: DGM Hang Out Thread

Looks like DGM won out in a competition between Gintama and Toriko. Not surprised that HxH far surpassed it (it has a very long-lived fandom), as did AnE (well, had I any money, I would have bought it if only for the alt cover). I'm surprised DGM did so well, but I'm betting it's because we got back to the core of DGM - Allen, Kanda, Link and Johnny - after it had gotten so shaken by the Alma arc, by the 14th's awakening, by the Apocryphos introduction and Lavi's capture. It's good to have some refocus on the protagonists and not entirely focused on the moral meanings of God, the universe and sandwiches.

    Re: DGM Hang Out Thread

After I think about it, DGM's vl. 23 is probably the most EPIC volume (in DGM's history, at least)! Well, first you get little Allen, Link's grave and Sheryl unleashes his anger on Lavi (plus, we got Tyki!) then OMG! Kanda's alive! Then Zuu then the whole search for Allen thingy, Kanda in the red-light district (oh, a drunk!Kanda...), then Allen make an epic comeback, then someone stalking them, Allen collapses then Link appears!

Putting Kanda on the cover definitely encourage depressed fans!

    Re: DGM Hang Out Thread

    That's good news, certainly.
But, probably is in the third position because non of the three great mangas had new volume that week...?

(More than that, I find intriguing what ppl can find good in Ao no Exorcist...? Last time I checked it was boredom in person... Seriously, did it changed that much?)

Its not really that boring, though I can understand what you mean. Personally I think its because the pase comes across as really slow because the author seems to concentrate on mostly character development than plot. Even though it may not be easy to identify with this if you are a d gray man lover like myself who mostly cares about more plot orientated stories with more intriguing characters cause lets' be honest as far as intriguing characters go Ao no Exorcist is a bit ......meh.. Also just between you and me I think the anime had alot to do with its rise in popularity which is the same with any young series. First you have these people who don't even consider the series at all and then all of a sudden when it gets a kick ass anime adaptation everyone jumps on its dick and start riding, that is until the fandom goes down (god forbid). Aside from that...........no i'm not gonna say if you like Dgray man you'll like Ao no Exorcist.... but bare in mind its still a young series so and even though i'm much tougher on monthly manga, i'll give it some time before I call it boring. Its funny I should mention this too because when d gray man first started out of all the current series i expected the least from it ......but just look at it now......... need I say more.

    Re: DGM Hang Out Thread

Ao no Exorcist has pacing issues, but it's still a quality manga. Anyway, every manga has its issues. Look at DGM. A few years ago it was completely unrecognizable. The Alma Karma arc could literally have taken place in the 21st century and no one would be able to tell the difference. Now it's back to being a gothic Victorian series, thankfully.

    Re: DGM Hang Out Thread

well if you only read the first couple of chapters of ANE and you were expecting more plot development than i guess you would be a little disappointed and bored but after about chapter 8 is when the plot starts to develop. the first couple of chapters focuses mostly on just character development and that sort of thing but afterwards is when things start to get interesting!
but getting back to what i really wanted to say, (if anybody posted this already sorry!), you can now buy the DGM volumes on the nook (from barnes and noble) for $4.99!!!
