10 years after the killing of Oda Nobunaga, allegedly through the betrayal of his follower Akechi Mitsuhide, Nobunaga's 16-year-old daughter is being sent to the current ruler of Japan, the cruel Toyotomi Hideyoshi. En route, she is rescued by two mysterious, powerful monks. Her mistrust of their intentions only deepens when she learns that one of them, who calls himself Tenkai, possesses one of the powerful weapons known as "Sodomu." Tenkai's plans will only become clear when his secrets are revealed! Hopefully, he can show Nobunaga's daughter that the power of "Sodomu" can be used for good as well as evil!
I read the first chapter today and was looking for a thread but didn't find one, so I made this...

I'm really enjoying this series so far. I hope this series to survive long period.
I read the first chapter already. Whether it will survive, will depend on whether the setting can overrule the generic action/shounen element. This is the type of manga which doesn't ask for a lot thinking BUT the setting, the sengoku era and the historical figures being used, is definitely something I like. I also appreciate the art. It is decently good and it isn't messy at all.
Not going to spoil but the story is based on the 5 chapters I read, very promising and it might manage to be something that'll have a run like psyren
i just read sengoku armors first chapter and half of the second but i didn't liked the story at all. it's so much names and fighting right of the bat. yeah it was to much without increasing to a climax, more like bumm bang! here is the fight!
Well it is an action shounen and most action shounens start with fighting right of the bat. The opponent they had to face, is just some worthless character which was primarily used as an introduction for Akechi. I think that the coolest focus is that there was some connection between ouchu and the "traitor" Akechi.

anyway, to get back on topic. What was your personal opinion on the first chapter? Art? Story? Setting?

If anyone what to read the raws for sengoku armors the are at http://spoil-manga.blogspot.com/2011...-armors-7.html
seems like I'm a little late on that one, but I just got around to read it. well what should I say, it's - as far as I can remember - a drastic change to the oneshot. I understand that a series has to be played out diffrently than what can be achieved in the limited space of a oneshot. however, delaying one of the main plotpoints - that is why exactly the girl is so important - was imo a big mistake.
also "to make the princess smile" (the girl in the os was a comoner no?) is in no way such a great pushing factor as collecting the keys to the ultimate weapon which got something dragonballish/race kind of style. oh well, in the end the oneshot and the drawn out manga didn't really have much in common - not even the main characters weapon ;(
