Sasuke had his chucky face on when he was walking behind danzou.
People who didnt like how he was running ...well thats actually how he would be limping his he was stabbed, old, and missing an arm (making him unbalanced)

Danzou is a true shinobi. Hiruzen's generation are the only true authentic shinobi's in the manga. They symbolize the shinobi way.

Danzou would have killed sasuke with his little death seal if madara didnt tell sasuke to get the hell away from him.

Karin deserves wat she got. Now the second idiot is on her way

Loved the flashback. Shame they didnt put a mini filler of them doing super duper uber cool jutsu.

I don't think it's a matter of win/loss really. Tobirama had a great team with him, in addition to being really strong himself. I find it more likely that it wasn't a risk worth taking. Tobirama was the Hokage, it seems like he valued the next generation above all else. Even if only one member of his team died it would have been a waste, I think that's what he thought and eventually lead to his decision. If someone were to die, it should be him, not the younglings. If they faced them together, 3 on his team might have died, or maybe 2 or 1. No matter the number as long as the risk of death for his younger team members was present he wouldn't take it, hence why he decided to sacrifice himself. Then he assured that they would all survive except himself.

I believe the most evil thing was Madara's smirk when Sasuke stabbed Karin.

I agree on that young Danzou vs. Hiruzen would do good. especially when they could give new taste and they can't affect the main story.

Great episode, great flashbacks, great ending and great music. That was a beautiful way to end Danzous character. 10/10

Epic episode. Thats also how filler is done. Even the noncanon parts (like Sasuke walking slowly after Danzou having a lil devilish / maniac grin on) fit perfectly. And the music hit it perfect this time.

I agree that that Kinkaku team must have been really strong.

I imagine that both Kinkaku and Ginkakau were there, with the Kyubbi power and the Rikudo tools.

And to those two, add 18 other great ninjas.

It's clear that none of those 20 were the usual fodders.
They were strong.

Not just numbers...not in the case of the Kinkaku squad anyway...Edo Tensei needs to be prepared, and needs lots of preparation...considering the ethical problems behind it, I don't know if Tobirama actually used it in battle...

You can see in the middle panel that Danzou is fleeing and that Sasuke is following him. You can see that Danzou is panting, and that Sasuke is simply walking behind him with a smirk on his face.

If you're talking just about the angle where we see Sasuke behind Danzou, then you're half-right.

It's still cannon, but it's an interpretation of what happened.
It's not like they totally invented something out of nowhere.

I somewhat agree.Sasuke looked weird in the one shot,but Danzou running was well done,because i really got the feeling of an old man with no strength left running for his life(even though he walked in the manga).

Actually that scene was creepy for me.

Anyway.. I think they did a great job on Danzou and some flashback of his life together with Sarutobi. The episode somehow made an impression that Danzo chose only a different path.. that he is just like the others who wants to protect Konoha and also has an ambition to reach the top but unfortunately, because of differences in personality and circumstances.. there are different roads and role a person takes.

Really? It scares the shit out of me to be honest! Everytime I watch it (3rd time now) I nearly shiver! I think this face expresses the whole character Sasuke has become.

The face before he stabbed Karin...I was a little disappointed that they made it look like in the manga...even the drawing the coloring was manga-style...I thought the animation team just chose the easy way to deal with that scene...some nice anime shadowing etc. would've been nice

I remember a similar face angle and mood in Death Note...when Light is looking down on L, while the latter is dying...something similar would've been nice...
