Bleach 450 Discussion

[The Newbie.]

Whoa, short chapter. 5 pages with a mix of filler and character development. Riruka seems to be getting more and more focus, and is actually a lot more innocent and worried than she looked like at first.
Then the fight. Ichigo better watch out for Ginjo's next move, and keep an eye on his sword reach.

This chapter kind of reminded me of Kenpachi's talk about instinct. Same thing, different arc.

Well of the 3 major mangas , Bleach no matter the filler stuff impressed me the most .

Yes , destroy his eyes , then go to his skin and cut his flesh slowly and make him scream ...... thats how he will learn to endure pain !!

Seriously ??!! Whats the point of making him blind ?? How will he get better at fighting by loosing his goddamn eyesight .

The same way they learn in every other manga...they learn to fight with their instinct and by feeling their opponent as opposed to seeing them. The same things that happened in Kekkaishi, DBZ, Rurouni Kenshin, Yuyu Hakusho, etc...Warriors, in order to be good, have to rely on more than just their eye-sight. Think, if all of the Shinigami could've fought blind, it would've made Aizen alot easier to deal with. Kaname was blind, and he didn't get pwned until he relied on his eyesight. Just my opinion.

So no mystery shinigami....no surprise there. I have to admit, I do feel a bit trolled, but I'm a patient man, so I can wait to see how this unfolds...

The chapter was normal. Nothing new. Actually the only two things that were interesting were:
1. Orihime's parents are alive and are somewhat violent and evil and her "brother" took her from them (so he actually might not be her real brother).

We already knew that, all the way from the start of Bleach around the time when Orihime got attacked by her brother. By violent, she probably just meant they hit each other/were bad parents. I doubt her parents are going to come back ever. Her brother was killed in a simple car accident if I remember correctly and became a hollow, so he seems like he was a fairly regular human at the time.

2. Ichigo still doesn't trust Ginjou and can't feel anything from his sword and Ginjou is really merciless if we compare him with other Ichigo's tutors.

Riruka's reaction toward Orihime's friendliness also hints at the FB's as having a less than noble purpose for Ichigo and possibly his friends.

P.S. Hungry Orihime was so adorable in this chapter.

Ok, so here's my only issue. I understand that Ichigo is new to fullbring and all, but he's not new to fighting. He shouldn't be taking such a beating like this. Even with his human limitations, he's fought countless captain, lieutenants, and other ridiculously powerful beings, yet Ginjou and Tsukishima seem to be throwing him around like he's an amateur. As a fighter, purely fighting, Ichigo should be waaaaaay better than the people he's fighting. Nothing should really catch him by surprise in a straight up sword fight with no kido.

You seem to be forgetting the uber pwnage unleashed on him by Kenpachi while he was in Bankai. Tousen was and always has been a tool to be used by Aizen and not a particularly effective one, taking into account the abilities he possessed.

I can't understand the reasoning behind blinding Ichigo. Unless he can somehow heal himself a little by pulling out the soul of his chopped up retinas to fix themselves. But thats absurd and the instinct training seems more likely, however implausible it is in real life.

Kubo really is dragging the mystery of this arc out. There are so many mysteries already and more developing every few chapters. I'd be a lot happier if told us about at least one of them or even drops hints (more than a Shinigami foot) so that we can get some good predictions and discussions going on.

1.- We already knew this though. I don't think we should question him being her brother though.

2.- That is interesting though. Would ichigo trust gin or grimmjow though? There is something off here though.

I am surprised that ichigo's fullbring hasn't advanced yet. I guess it does take time when he is not really fighting. Same thing happened when he was doing mask training. Can't believe ichigo lost his will to fight AGAIN. How long are we going to deal with that as a part of the plot? It has happened in every single fight ichigo has been in. Glad ginjo rid ichigo of his eyes, the sheer brutality of it is awesome.

If he was at a 100%, I'm sure neither would be playing around with him as much. Even if it is Ichigo, FB can't become second nature and be used to it's fullest potential within a couple days. Ichigo has the experience but not the abilities at this point in time.

No fullbring can go par with a captain, Chad went down and we never saw Orhime fight against one 1v1. Ichigo fought and won due to him being shinigami as well.

Not that there's any reason for it to happen, but I think a lot of us would want to see a shinigami (any shinigami) fight one of these fullbringers just to get an idea of where their power is. Even if it were Renji or Rukia, it could still give us an idea of where they are powerwise. But like someone else said, it could be just that his power level isn't where it should be, but I would expect Ichigo's instincts to be really kicking in by now. And the whole lacking resolve issue is just garbage to me. Why is he so different mentally from FGT Ichigo?

Im reading back at some of the old stuff, ch 1-2 etc

and another thing thats now in a new light is that *the damage control* done at Ichigos place after the hollow attack and his father denieing he got hurt, sounds awefull fishy. I mean he could ofc got Uraharas help in fixing the problems but why did he have to lie to his son since the gig is now up. His dad said to Tatsuki that a truck had ran into his house :P Its realy worth rereading all that his dad said, in light of current events. haha.

I supose well get more answers soon ^^

true yet he has defeated other fullbringers and has plenty of experience since then ginjou shouldn't be that much of a problem for ichigo in the beginning of this arc he said his reflexes still were sharp so the difference in their abilities cant be because of his skills dulling. Ginjou must be greatly experience fighter or his fullbring is giving him some unforeseen advantage.

Also I don't know if that is true these fullbringers may be able to fight some low-level captains and may cause trouble for mid-tier captains some of their abilities are interesting and can prove problematic for any individual.

Chapter was a little fad... hey is it the first time that they talk about Inoue's parents.. I don't think I ever heard anything about them before... anyway nothing much really happened this week
