Luffy vs Ace

Given that Luffy can actually land a hit on logia's/has Haki mastery, does anyone think he's surpassed Ace?

It's difficult to say if he surpassed or not Ace, cuz until now we still haven't really got any proper battle to see the real evolution and the extend of Luffy's strength.
I think if a fight like this happened , it would be a very epic one and very difficult for both side.

Well, luffy seems to have the greater mastery of haki but then again ace was capable of fighting jinbe on equal footing even before joining the whitebeard pirates. The fight would be epic but I have the light impression luffy has surpassed ace though. I see no reason for luffy not to be faster at the very least considering everything.

I'd go with Luffy now. He was actually able to take down to Shichibukai and Rob Lucci before the timeskip and now he got stronger, got better with his DF, got Haki and mastered it to better than Ace's level, so Luffy will win, but the fight will be as tough as the fight against Rob Lucci and Luffy won't have any power left after the fight.

Ace would still win! Experience in battle surpass training.... Ace spent a huge amount of time in the WB crew fighting captains of the New World like Doma....
Luffy got a power-up just to hold his ground in the New World, but his real evolution will be something we will witness with our own eyes!
