Welcome to the new Otaku Finder:

This is a forum where you can recommend a series you love in order to gather new readers and potential fans. It doesn’t matter if it’s something unknown or already popular- if there is a series you love, go ahead and shout it out.

For members who are looking for something new to add on your reading list, you are free to ask the original poster before trying a series out.

General Guidelines:

One thread is allowed for each person. Although everyone is free to recommend whatever series they like, it would be advisable to check if a series has already been recommended; this is to avoid several threads about the same topic.

Please use spoiler-tags as much as possible when talking about the plot or characters; this is to respect those who may not be familiar with the subject. If a conversation gets too in-depth, the posts will be moved to the appropriate discussion thread.

Do not come into a thread to bash a series or any members. Show respect!!

Opening Post Format
We suggest using the following format in the opening post or an adaptation to an existing thread.

I know this question is already self-answered in a sense but let me ask it so to get it out of the way.
The Adult Demographics: Hentai, Yaoi, Yuri, Lolicon, Shotacon, etc.

Are these types of recommendations allowed?
Are doujin, oel, artbook, drama cd, & novel recommendations also allowed?
Sure, this place is an otaku-finder area but what kind is it? - that is all I'm trying to ask.

Site wide policy is no hentai or pornographic comics. Shota and loli probably should not be posted. I am happy to take a look. We allow Yaoi and Yuri, as long as it is not pornographic/hentai. If there is a series that anyone thinks should be an exception, or if anyone needs clarification about a series, please PM me. I will be happy to take a look.

You are welcome to recommend any media as long as it is East Asian in origin. Doujin (non-explicit), novels, artbooks, movies, drama CD are all fine. OEL too, as they are clearly manga/manhwa influenced. I'd even allow candy, food, clothes or anything discussed in the Otaku Culture forum. Please feel free to recommend your favorites. The only line I will draw is nothing "western" and nothing pornographic.

I made a miscellaneous "looking for" thread. If any one needs a rec and it is not manga, manhwa, anime, or drama/movie you can post there.

Just wanted to remind everyone of the Featured Manga news posts on the front page every fortnight (check out the latest). In addition to recommending your favorite manga in your threads here in our spanking new Otaku Finder, don't forget that you can also suggest manga to be featured in those news posts! Just PM vintagemistakes the series title and 2-3 short paragraphs on why you think everyone should read it!
