Try Samurai Deeper Jyo lot's of good swordsfigth, blood, action and a badas* main character. And the art is perfect.
I was also looking at this "manwha" not "manga" but "manwha" called Jack Frost. It's preety good actually, it's got really good art as well as plot. It's a bit like Hellsing but it's not like OP with crappy art though, it's got good designs, the action is badass. Anyone tried it?
You should try Bleach though...it get's better when it reaches the Soul Society arc etc. Though when did you stop reading it?
Others I would recommend are Claymore and Hellsing. If you want excellent art, these 2 mangas the ones you would be looking for. They have great plot as well as action, the characters are just badass. In Hellsing, the main character is an antagonist.
Also try out Black Cat. This manga kept me iching for more chapters every day
I found these scans on a japanese forum and was wondering the title.

It looks like Stop!! Hibari-kun!
I will look into this. Thanks!
(This is a long shot question...)
Apparently, I am finding doujins by this guy, but does anyone know if this guy produced an artbook for the game "Princess Quest" for Sega Saturn or any artbook. Gelato is cute.
Hmm, heavy ink and good story... and a little on the dark side
- Ubel Blatt (all about getting revenge, might take you a couple of chapters to figure out what is going on)
- Defense Devil (new series just started, a little dark & mystery though not redundant and happy as Conan)
- AIKI (not really dark, but focuses on fighting ability doesn't seem to get god-like)
- Shin Angyo Onshi (completed, i dunno what to say about this manga, I'm just posting it due to the fact it could and could not be to your liking)
- Claymore (mostly female cast but you have to read quite some time to get the real jist of the story)

I Know what you mean! Seriously, I found this thread googling for it with random phrases. Is one of the first scenes the guy on a train trying not to be pushed into the girl main character*forget her name) But even though all the people keep pushing he manages not to because he's that legendary fighter guy?
And if I'm right there's a girl he meets who steals stuff and she doesn't one time because he says she's better than that? I'm confused, but I really want to find this manga because I read the first couple and loved it. Please someone remember and tell me the name of this manga! haha XD
This is my first post (apart from posting what browser and mobile phone I use ), so sorry if this has been asked before.
I'm looking for raw japanese light novels (not Manga!) that don't have any (or very little) fantasy or science fiction in it. The only Manga I like so far are Nodame Cantabile (love that!), Samurai Champloo anime (great with the hip hop elements, although ふうs strange fantasy animal was really annoying) and Cowboy Bebop (despite the SF, this was nice). What I clearly don't like (personal opinion) is stuff like Bleach, Dragon Ball, and everything else with too much Fantasy/Science Fiction hocus pokus in it.
Oh, and I really like the Short Stories by Kawakami Hiromi (esp. 神様) and おついち (e.g. むかし夕日の公園で).
Can anyone please recommend any light novels that don't have lots of Fantasy/SF in it? I'm little below JLPT2 level now, so it would be great if it wasn't too hard (Ghost in the Shell being an example of something WAAAY above my level)
The manga よつばと！ is extremely simple. I had only been learning for about 6 months and only had to pick up my dictionary about 7 times through an entire volume. It did not just start recently though. The story is about a small girl (6?) Who moves to a new town, and you get to read about how she goes about her daily life, and how her father, and neighbors help her to learn about new things, from swings, or going to a department store. If you don't mind reading this kind of manga I think it would be a great first.
Well, I'm a pretty big fan of the Gender Bender genre myself... But not sure what to read. So far, I've been reading the following:
Mei no Naisho (chapter 1 only, none of the rest has been scanlated)
Shoujo Shonen (volume 1 only, none of the rest has been scanlated)
Marugoto Anjyu Gakuen
My Barbaric Girlfriend
Oto x Maho
Shoujo Shonen - Go! Go! Ichigo!
So yeah... I like a wide variety of this genre, but I don't like it when it goes beyond Ecchi, or when it just becomes some generic sappy shoujo story. I don't care if it results in a straight, yuri, or yaoi couple, so long as it's either funny or interesting, but I can't stand it when it gets too 'shoujo-y' (reason why I don't like Gravitation).
With that said... got any suggestions for me? I prefer comedy, but I don't mind a good drama either. Just stay away from the corny romance stories and copy-paste yaoi stories.
