choji wasn't flying here http://www.mangareader.net/naruto/534/11 ,then it's meaningless to say that suigetsu can't hit him. anyway choji's strength and stamina are enough to defeat suigetsu.

While its pretty evident that Chouj's punch does not have the power of a Bijuu blast, it certainly have enough to smash Suigetsu into a mess of puddles. Even if he is to reform, exactly what does he have in his arsenal to harm Super Chouji? He can't summon that tidal wave he used against Bee without a water source. I'm not even convinced he is stronger than regular Chouji. Partial Baika no Jutsu would be enough to smash him into puddles. This fight basically comes down to Chouji smashing Suigetsu until he can't reform no more.

Honestly, I don't see him getting so riled up on a one-on-one match. No support from Shikamaru. No one to protect. No motivation. If he takes the pills that do the same effect, he's gonna die 'cause there's no one there to take him to Tsunade. In other words, due to the rules, he can't use those pills. Purely going from what the manga shows, Chouji ain't going into butterfly mode during his match with Suigetsu. That simple. He's without his ace. I'm surprised Chouji's even gotten this far. Without the necessary mindset, he ain't getting in that mode. So basically, that shouldn't even be taken into consideration at all during this one-one-one matches tournament.
Chouji has perfected the Calorie Control technique of his clan, his ability to use butterfly mode without the pills is proof of that. It doesn't take a goading or an emotional situation for his to use it anymore. His mindset doesn't matter for getting into butterfly mode. He needed to awaken the power and surpass his previous limits before it's not like he needs to be pissed off before he can use it the next time. Butterfly mode is a skill that Chouji possesses now and is available to him anytime.

His personality might stop him from using it from the get go but it won't stop him from using it altogether. He is not going to die before he uses it and Suigetsu probably can't kill him fast enough to not let him use it either.

    Re: Chouji vs. Suigetsu

Chouji can't win this even if he had two years of prep time at mc donalds and burger king, entering this fight with over 700 pounds and being immobile.

It doesn't matter how strong his punch is, it won't kill Suigetsu... and I don't see Chouji pounding on the ground until Suigetsu can't reform.

Chouji isn't exactly the smartest guy around, so he will simply smash Suigetsu, thinking he killed him. Then he will walk away all like "ouhhh yeah now I'am gonna get some barbecue whoohooooo!!" while Suigetsu reforms behind him and pierces fatsoe with Kubikiribōchō

Really? Suigetsu was not only training to replace his brother, the most dangerous of the 7 Swordsmen of the Mist, but his body is made of water now thanks to be experimented on by Orochimaru. You really think that Suigetsu won't decapitate Chouji before he gets a chance to go into Butterfly Mode? I don't think so.

    Re: Chouji vs. Suigetsu

If Suigetsu can tank a blow from Super Saiyan 2 Raikage and regenerate without trouble I suspect he will be able to do the same against Chouji.
