What book will you like to see get turned into a manga or an anime?
I have been reading this book and while reading it I couldn’t help but think that it would be awesome if there was an anime about all the cases/mysteries/stories Sherlock Holmes resolved, an anime based on Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle.
That is one of the books that I would like for it to get turned into an anime, but what about you guys? What book would you like to see get a manga or an anime adaptation?

Great idea, this is like the west meeting the east.
I don't read much but an adaption of agatha christie books will be cool
but it'll be weird because almost every mystery is different from each other.
Maybe a little off topic, but I used to think how funny it would be if the "for dummies"
books were animated
The Three Musketeers. I know there's already been an anime, but I'd like a more updated one with a big animation budget, and If possible a tinge of cyberpunk to it. Wouldn't mind seeing some form of super powered, high velocity, gravity defying variation of the tradition fencing that was in the novel.
Agatha Christie no Meitantei Poirot to Marple (Agatha Christie's Detectives Poirot and Marple). As a fan, I couldn't not watch it, but I ended up dropping it as I didn't like it. The little girl ended up being a silly ploy by the creators to try and draw in a younger audience, and made for a story that seemed to be more focused on her rather than on Hercule Poirot and Jane Marple, who were actually the reasons I even wanted to watch this series This is painfully obvious from the first episode alone. Agatha Christie's masterpieces have much potential to be made into great anime and manga, if done well. This one was not, and I would love to see a better adaptation!
I'd actually really love to see an adaptation of And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie . And after seeing the Japanese editions of A Song of Ice and Fire, I'd love to see a manga/anime based on that as well. I'm scared that it would end up like Guin Saga though, which was kind of boring during its later half.
I'd love to see Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl be turned into manga. It's so easy to get lost into their world, I wonder how it'd be for manga since there are... graphics. For Harry Potter, great artist would be needed that'd draw details.
I'd also like to see Lord of the Flies be turned into a seinen manga.
M3j, if you wanted lord of the flies, go read cage of eden. It's essentially the same thing.
And also, yeah, I would very much prefer anime versions of Artemis fowl, the graphic novels are awful.
As for Poirot/Marple, I watched the first ep. and just couldn't bear this adaptation. Maybe Poirots best the way he is in literary form.
Though, do books include light novels? I would really like to see Sword Art online animated, and I can't wait for the fate/Zero anime. ^^
I dont know if anyone heard about the series but i always thought that a manga or anime of the Shapeshifter by Ali Sparkes would be tres cool =]
Harry Potter. Written by Rowling and illustrated by Hoshino Katsura.
But not the Harry Potter, i would prefer the side short stories of it... something about Godric Gryffindor and co, other side characters and maybe a bit about the main characters after they left Hogwarts.
It will be very interesting to see how Hoshino's brilliant art fit into the world of Harry Potter.
by the way... adaptation of English literature into manga is not new. Darren Shan is available in manga form. I read both manga and book form and i would say it is an okay-ish one since it is very faithful to the book... but i am biased because i dislike the art style.
yep R4n is right, that would be cool and there is also the manga for maximum ride by narae Lee which i think the art fits perfectly with ^^ it quite nice =] and there also for...twilight =/ but tbh the manga portrays the characters much much better than the movie and the illustrator is good cant say her art is crap
I think Lord of the Rings could also make a nice manga, not too sure about anime (would depend on the art style I guess?). For that matter, the Hobbit or Tolkein's other work would probably make nice manga too
Also, many of Higashino Kei's novels get turned into J-drama, but I think they could also do well as manga or anime, such as Ryuusei no Kizuna or Galileo.
I'd love to see Madeline L'Engle's A Wrinkle In Time, Anne Rice's Interview With A Vampire and Neil Gaiman's Sandman comic books animated.
I'm not too fond of books being made into manga because it's like, why not read the books?
Yeah i agree with you but it is kind of nice to see the faces of your fav. book heros right?
I think also Eragon would be a cool manga =]
I would love to see both Harry Potter (with Rowling as the writer) and Lord of the Rings as manga. HP could be awesome (explore the castle, the world etc.). Would be easy to put in very interesting filler chapters too. I think a LotR manga would be cool if it was very violent and detailed (maybe seinen?).
The books by Dan Brown could also be interesting? "The DaVinci Code" and "Angels and Demons" could make very good mystery mangas.
Today I rewatched the TLOTR The Two Towers and after I finished watching it, I couldn’t help but think how much I would love for the Trilogy of TLOTR to be turned into an anime.
