    [JP] Kitai shite son shita?

well like the title suggests i need some help with this phrase
    the exact one is
    ちょっと期待して損しちゃった
i know it means something like "i had expectatives and they were lost" but i want to see if someone has a better translation

also, anyone knows what ジュ might mean?? i guess it's some word in english, a name or a word in an irish dialect (it's arago so it's possible) any ideas?

    ちょっと期待して損しちゃった。=少し期待(を)して損をした。
    Nuance: 少しでも期待しなければよかった。

ジュ: You may want to describe the context / how the word is used.
Is it sfx? If so, would it be the sizzling sound? Did someone put out the candlelight or fire?
Is a person speaking in French? ジュ(Je) can be "I" in French. (i.e. ジュテーム="I love you" in French.)

so, you think"kitai shite son shita" = "It'd be better if i didn't expect anything" ???
as for the context for the ju part here it is, it's all said by a sadistic girl who's trying to overkill a guy and she's trying to provoke him talking about how she killed his friends
    あたしも何人か殺したよ。。。?
    I killed some of them...
    そういえば、あんたの幻獣の角を撃ち出す大げさな武器を持った奴も中にはいたよ-な気がする...
Come to think of it, i think that a guy that used your exaggerated mythical beast horn weapon was one of them...
    使う間もなく---
He didn't have time to use it--- //the problem is this and the next phrase, i think it'll be something like this but the ju!! in the next bubble is confusing
    ジュッ!!

    ジュッ!!
You can also make a negative (non- affirmative ) sentence.
    I shouldn't have ~

ジュッ is generally a sfx, If you find any flaming hot items (ie weapons), the sfx would make sense. Is smoke coming out of something?
Is there a character whose name starts with ジュ such as ジュリア or ジュン? Sorry, I can't tell what it is without reading the manga.

(Since it is ジュッ, not ジュ, it is not "I" in French for sure.)

Thanks a lot, i think it's the sfx for flames since she's a fire-user and she's about to attack in that moment
