Advanced placement into a school of higher grade proof-reading is determined by the results of the Promotion Test strictly for class type. Ranging from A class with the best facilities anyone can offer all the way down to F Class which is composed of low dining tables, rotten tatami mats and other worn out facilities. Students can change classes by competing using the Examination Summons Battle system or ESB. Students summon characters with their equivalent test mark scores and use them to compete with other classes.
The story centers around Akihisa Yoshii, the "baka" of the title. His academy rigidly divides up the student body into classes based on the results of tests. The prodigies are in the A class with reclining seats complete with air conditioning, but Akihisa is in F class, the lowest rung of the school ladder which is furnished only with low, decrepit tables and worn-out straw tatami mats. A girl named Mizuki Himeji is actually one of the smartest girls in Akihisa's sophomore year, but she had a fever on test day and was pigeonholed into the F class. Besides Mizuki (who Akihisa secretly adores), the F class also has Yuuji Sakamoto, the class president who has been Akihisa's friend and partner-in-crime since the freshman year.
The school happens to have developed experiments to summon fantasy creatures, and Akihisa decides to rally F class to take on the higher-tiered classes and seize their perks. The F class uses the summoned creatures in an all-out battle for school supremacy.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! - Summer 2011 Preview
---------- Post added at 10:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:27 PM ----------
I so can’t wait for the second season of this great anime series to begin! I had so much fun watching the first season so I have high expectations for this new season. In fact, I’m so excited about this second season that I’ve started to re-watch the whole first season and I plan to watch the OVA as well.
While I do admit that this anime is not for everyone, since not everyone understands/gets/likes its humor, if you are like me and finds Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu awesomely hilarious and can’t wait for more of it, then come and join me in this thread to discuss and talk about this great anime.
wow this is certainly interesting and seems to be cute as well xD I'll be looking for it =]
This first episode didn’t lose time reminding us of all the reasons why we, the fans of this anime, love BTS!! In one single episode I was instantly returned to the Bakaverse where Aki and his classmates live.
There were various funny moments during this episode, but my favorite were the ones that took place at the end of the ep. They were so unexpected and hilarious at same time. I had a feeling that one of the girls was Shouko but I would have never guessed that the other girl was Muttsuriini disguised as Minami. Poor Aki and poor Yuuji! And I have to mention that their methods and lines to pick up girls were priceless!! “You look like….a porn star!!” Single best line in this ep!
I’m so glad Aki and his gang are back; and I’m so looking forward to more of their crazy and uproarious adventures!

Watching an episode of this anime always makes me .
- The boys as girls was priceless, and it was even more hilarious that Aki and Kouta actually looked very cute as girls. And poor Aki and Kouta, their plain to disqualify themselves from the competition backfired big time; because the more they tried to turn off the audience the more that they turned them on.
- The way Aki has reacted to Minami’s ponytail and to her yukata has given me hope that my fav pairing of this series is not as hopeless as I thought it was.
- And Himeji’s cooking, what a lethal weapon it is!! Poor guys!

This episode wasn’t as epically hilarious as the other ones, but it was very enjoyable.
-The interactions between Hideyoshi and his twin sister were pretty funny.
-We finally learned how Hazuki met Aki and I thought what Aki did for Hazuki and indirectly for Minami was very sweet. I’m so adding Aki to my harem list! No wonder Mizuki and Minani fell for him.

i think about it ,,, i will buy season 1 blu-ray in August 2... it is worth to buy for season? 1 .. since i am fan of destiny4ever if you said it is lot of comedy ... i will planning to watch season 2...
I have laughed so much while watching this anime so, my biased answer to your question is “Yes, I would definitely buy the first season of this anime”. However, the comedy in this anime is not for everyone, so what I recommend you is to watch a couple of episodes of the series before buying it. If you enjoy watching those episodes then I’m pretty sure you will enjoy watching the rest of the 1st season.
And yes, I totally recommend watch the second season; it has been so much fun watching the first four eps of the series.

Great episode is great!!
- Drunk and yandere Himeji is very scary. Poor Aki! And it seems Himeji is a big fan of Aki wearing girl’s clothes.
- Watching Aki, Himeji, Yuuji and Shouko playing “Doubt it” made me want to play that game as well. It looks like fun.
- The second part of the ep was adorable, interesting and so much fun!! The shoukanjuu were so cute!! I loved how they began to talk out of the blue.
- Minami’s shoukanjuu was the most adorable! If Minami would become just a bit as cute as her shoujanjuu she would win Aki's heart for sure. ^_^ It was cute how chibi Minami almost confessed Minami’s biggest secret to Aki!! But of course Minami wasn't going to allow it. Poor Aki!
- It was fun to learn the FF gang’s deepest secrets. And it was just as fun to observe the reactions of the masters to their shoukanjuu sharing said secrets.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Nii Episode 04 -->http://www.animefans.tv/baka_to_test_to_shoukanjuu_ni/
i just started season 1 of this, it seems funny so far
i saw the dubbed version on netflix but i didnt watch it
english dubbed anime is just not the same
Baka to Test is another one of my favorite anime series. It’s awesomely hilarious! I’m glad to read you have started watching it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
i couldnt find a thread on season 1
i absolutely love the humor, the ninja-pervert is hilarious and i believe hideyoshi is having an identity crisis
the funny thing is all the guys drool over hideyoshi regardless of "him" claiming to be a boy
This series’s humor is not for everyone but if it is your kind of humor then you are going to love this series! And poor Hideyoshi, nobody believes him he is a guy!Quote:
He is so pretty nobody believes him! ^^Quote:
i accidentally got hooked on this series and am now almost done with season 2
the whole epic journey to peek on the girls bath to find the blackmailer was awesome,
this is one of the funniest animes i have ever seen
i love the relationship between shouko and yuji
you can tell yuji cares about her (like when he saved her at the end of the battle between class F and class A, or when he fought for her at the park) but he is totally afraid of commitment

ok question about the end of episode 7
at the end, after the credits minami kisses yoshii ....
and they dont say why or show his reaction, episode 8 just shows minami's past and her struggling to learn japanese, and her meeting yoshii ....

never mind my question was answered in ep 9
i just finished season 2
and i want to know what happens next and considering season 3 has not been announced i will start reading the LN
i just need to figure out where season 2 left off
ok i will start with volume 6 and start reading and see where they leave off
it was a bit confusing when i looked at the LN on baka tsuki because it seems some events do not take place in the same order that they happened in the show
