    [JP] ズヴァリ とは?

    What is "ズヴァリ"?

    The context,
there's this one mangaka who is in a slump and has love problem. He then went to the park to change his mood. In the park, he met 3 kindergartners and then he says, "You guys don't seem to have any worry, I'm jealous." In response to the mangaka, the first kid says that she's always troubled by love and the second kid says that she's troubled over some government bill reform and the like. After that, the second kid says "ズヴァリ! Onii-san, you seem to have a love problem as well... "

    Spoiler show

The image, in case I misread or something.

    Re: [JP] ズヴァリ とは?

    Hmm...

I might be mistaken but I think this is an onomatopoetic expression which means something along the lines of "cutting something with a sword" or more idiomatically "getting straight to the core of an issue, outright and precisely". There is one character, Aiga Hoshiidake, from the popular Ace Attorney series who uses that phrase a LOT.

    Hope this helps.

    THAT'S IT!!
Did some research after reading your post and I think it really fits the context. PLUS, just realized the character herself did an instant costume change and dressed herself as Aiga Hoshiidake. Do you happen to know how Aiga Hoshiidake say the line? From my research it's "Zvarri! -insert some line here-." Is that right?
I'm REALLY behind in game news and stuff these days since I only know that Ace Attorney is popular, but have never actually play it.

    Re: [JP] ズヴァリ とは?

    Yes, that is correct.
Like you said, they even left the ズヴァリ untranslated in the English version and simply romanized it as "Zvarri!". So in the end you are free to choose how you want to handle this line, either by finding a fitting English equivalent (e.g. "I [sharply] conclude") or leave it as "Zvarri". In either way a short Translator Note, where you point out and explain the Ace Attorney reference, would be recommended.

    Glad I could help!
