I´am really really disapointed. After three weeks and endless waittime...
This is what we get?
That was a really bad chapter. That was one of the worst chapters that I have ever seen.
Whats up with this rush? Is this really needed?
And why the heck is Asuna suddenly capable of fighting on even terms with... all of them?
I thought the rumors were all fakes, but this...



There are at least one hundret possibilities to make this ark end, but This is one of the worst.

@ Togu Alaxus: To me i don't see any rush in this chapter, since i had a feeling that the "Magic World Arc" would end up like this and end up creating the base ground-work for the next upcoming arc (the issue of the "Magic World Arc" can't be solved so easily even in terms of the in-universe time-line).

Also i had a feeling (and a few others as well) that as soon as Asuna wakes up, the climax of the "Magic World Arc" would come to an end in one chapter.

As for why Asuna was capable of "fighting on even terms with... all of them", well thats mostly because of her rare ability which automatically puts her on level of people like Negi and Nagi (as long as she is able to control her ability and powers).
Another factor is that now that Asuna has regained her past memories, she along with it got the necessary knowledge to use her power to the fullest.

Another point this chapter makes clear is that this isn't the last time we are seeing the Lifemaker in action. Remember the real Lifemaker is sealed below the World Tree and the one who came to the battlefield was more or less an illusion type (an illusion much powerful than Raken himself).

And you do not mind something at the final attack? This seems to be a mix of Negis ME and Asunas MC. Would they not cancel each other? Can anyone explain this to me?

as far as i know negi can tranffer magical energy to asuna via the pactio.

After seeing the raws I don't really feel any rush from the chapter, but I was still hoping for two or three more chapter with Mage of the Beginning.

I thought the ending could have lasted an extra chapter or so, but overall I don't think it was too rushed: I don't want another 10 chapter fight... We just had that with Fate. I'm guessing they'll explain the whole thing afterwards and wrap the arc up.

So it seems Negi already knew it would be Nagi from reading Fate's memories. Can't wait for the scan.

personally, I cant say this was specially rushed. I agree that this couldve lasted at least one more chapter, but it wasnt a specially unnatural development (when it comes to how the LM was defeated, at least):
Asuna has always been the natural enemy of summoned beings and all sorts of energy beams (remember back to Negi's fight with Rakan). That she was able to hold her ground against the (fake) Lifemaker should be no surprise. On the same line, it should come as no surprise that she could do away with the illusion of the LM.

what I do dislike about this chapter is how fast everything was settled AFTER beating the (fake) Lifemaker. Asuna being all like "yeah, I know everything thats been going on and I also know how to stop it / fix it ;D" is not exactly a development I appreciate.

anyway, thats my 2 cents for now. Ill write a summary later if u guys want it.

Well it isn't really that surprising that Asuna would know how to stop/fix it, but it still would have been nice for them to take a little longer.

Well the "Magic World Arc" had been quite long (started around ch 186) so i think this balances it out in a way.

I heave spent my day to re-read all the arc-ends til now and they were all... better.
I can´t really say why but it feels like Akamatsu-Sensei could have made the end for this really long arc a little bit better.
It feels like he didn´t used all of his possibilities. (Don´t know how to explain it better.)

But there is at least one another arc coming in the near future. And I have high hopes for it.

this chapter was complete crap, akamatsu should change the name of the manga to asuna an let everthing to her, she just got the power of every character in the series what fuck do need anybody else. it only make me hate her, what tha fuck negi doesn't take part in the fight they holging hans in the sword was just formality, what shitt chapter she even get magia erebea fuck her
the only way negi could get some respect back is that the gravekeeper teach him royal magic and that turn to be some cool ability, but wait asuna is the twiligh princess of ostia so after negi train to get it asuna is gonna get it in less time whitout training, this thing is doom, and they make her look so important that she gonna end up whit negi, before that doesnt bothere me but now i hate asuna.

@ deathevn: Have you read the story until now correctly, because if you had, then you wouldn't say things like that regarding Asuna, since from the beginning of this manga, Ken-Sensei has made Asuna into a sort of a broken character with her "Magic Cancel" ability (a character having an ability like MC in a manga which mainly focuses on Magic, would be considered to be a broken character wouldn't it).

Also Negi got focus for more than 100 chapters in this arc (he even got chapters long fight with people like Raken and Fate), so what if Asuna got to shine at the ending for a bit (she didn't do anything major in this arc until now). Also we have known for more than 9 months that Asuna would be getting ME powers as an upgrade for her artifact (though we are not sure if it is going to be a permanent thing or not).
