You're ignoring the point I was making.. Translation states Sora and them are in their late twenties. However it says Kaito is almost 30, and was starting Tokyo U about 10 years ago. Ok so he was about 18-20. In those flashbacks with Gazelle Sora and Nike are obviously nowhere near Kaitos age, they're frickin kids. How could they possibly be in their late 20s? I suppose Gazelle is a little older, depending whether the brain charger experiment came after the Gravity child one. I figured the Gravity child one had come first though as they stated that they had no intention of wanting to fly, thus the reason brain chargers were created.

The translation is also an obvious fault as the when Kaito was asked if he was Gazelle, he said how could he possibly be, he's almost 30 and the Gravity children are in their late 20's. Doesn't that not make much sense at all? They're in their late 20's but he's almost 30? The ages are pretty fucking close. And no way was Sora or Nike anywhere near 16-17 in that flashback.

Oh and to add to that point, he's using the Gravity childrens ages as a meter to gauge the age of what Gazelle should be as well, even though Gazelle wasn't a gravity child at all, but a brain charger. So it's assumed both experiments were done not much longer after the other.

Not to mention I also remember an instance where there was a flashback of Minami giving Rika Ikki and she was only about 8 years old. So if she's about 8 or so years older than Ikki, that puts her in her early twenties. Making the assumption again that Rika is pretty close to the rest of the first generation Gravity children in terms of age, as it seem indicated. I see an obvious translation fault here.

rika never got into high school, but was wearing a uniform when she wasn't in her riding outfit, so we can conclude that she was never older than 15 possibly 16 when she finally quit a-t (typical age for a 3rd year middle school student; by american standards a freshman in high school). there was a 6 year time skip to the start of the story, so she would be 22 yrs old. but the grav kids were always regarded as older than rika and ine, putting them at young adults. my evidence is that simca was a student still (going to the girls school that ttt attends) but if she's older then it was likely she was a 'senior' in high school (3rd year high school) which is typically around 18. that would make kiric and simca around 24 since they are twins. however, this doesn't mean that all of the grav kids are the same age, but they would definitely be more around 24~26 years old than early 20s.

so gazelle could have been as young as 14 but could have also be 16 when she met kaito, but kaito is should be 29 now since he says he's almost 30 but older than the grav kids (if he was 28, he might have said late twenties, but he did say he was almost 30, so i assume he's 29)

Hmm you definitely brought up some good points with both posts. I wasn't attentive enough to see that O!G has changed how he drew people younger and older a lot.. It's still weird to see though, because if the Sora brothers were 16-17 at that time, and Ikki looks older currently :/ (And Ikki's only about 14). But like you said in that one instance from a year ago when Mikan ran away O!G did manage to draw Ikki a lot younger so... I guess it's a bit of an inconsistency in terms of the art has changed really.

Still with the way Ikki is drawn, the Sora brothers being 14ish in that flashback still feels a bit farfetched. But that seems like the likely scenario. Translations and both O!G have been really unclear and confusing pertaining to characters ages..

Not like it's a super important detail anyways I guess

back on topic, we have a few weeks break before the next chapter... how exactly will everyone get off that ship? minami took the escape pod and all of the planes on the deck have either been badly damaged or fell into the ocean to sink. i find it rather hard to accept that if the close the valve, they will buy themselves enough time to steer the boat back to land somewhere and everyone can get off. ah, that's right... kaito and his men are on helicopters and such so i guess they could evacuate a couple of people. someone may contact sano's people who had brought ttt and the other riders to pick them up too... anything is better than 'close the valve and drive the ship back' option in my opinion.

I'm sure Ohama probably can get the aircraft back. They did land in landing pod type things so maybe they can somehow use them to get back into the Aircraft.

Instead of calling him Obama which is who he really is, call him Ohama. Calling him Obama would be offensive to our president since Ohama is a fucking idiot character.

Chapter was good but I still find the details on Simca and Spitfire saying that they don't need the Sky regalia a bit blurry to previous events that occurred. It's pretty obscure, I even tried reading back and they didn't really give off that they didn't want it... quite the opposite really.

I think the only instance in which I can remember which hinted at this was when Ikki met with Sleeping Forest because Simca thought making him leader would be a good idea because of his relationship with Ringo. She believed it would dissolve tensions between the two factions, or something? Because Kiric was also going to convince him on Sleeping Forest's side of the story, before Sora betrayed everyone, correct?

So I guess it might make a little sense, as Simca seemed to have been saying there that she wanted the problems between SF and Genesis solved I think.. which could only mean not pursuing the Sky Regalia... Then again the two would not be at eachothers throat if she made it clear they weren't after the Sky Regalia at all from the get go. Then again I guess she couldn't do that since the Sora brothers were the real leaders..

That pretty much nails it. If Spitfire and Simca were still part of the team, they could try and influence the other Genesis members of eventually abandoning Sora's goals.

simca and spitfire were simply 'followers' in the grand scheme of thing within genesis, so there was only so much that they could publically say and do when it came to what the 'team' goal was supposed to be. that didn't mean that the didn't believe in how they did. simca and spitfire had a lot of hope in ikki for two big reasons: 1. his close relationship to sf because of the noyamano sisters and 2. he embodies the point that simca and spitfire tried to convince sora of (that everybody has wings)

simca's push for ikki to be leader was her attempt at taking power away from the sora brothers by making the rest of the team (excluding the grav kids sora trained on the ship) accept and follow ikki which would thereby remove much of the 'fighting' force (that we knew of at the time) that sora had

Ohama is a racist caricature of our President. There's a reason he hate on him and show the character no respect.
