Edo Tensei ignore list...

So...it seems like Itachi will go ahead and confront Kabuto and will try to undo Edo Tensei.

Now the question is which zombies will be victim of this fine accomplishment.

Here's a partial list with shinobi who haven't had screen time in a long time. So let's start with them:

Chiyo
Kimimaro
He-who-won't-be-named sensor shinobi
Seven Swordsmen
Madara's Six Paths

So do you think some of these shinobi will suffer by Kabuto undoing the jutsu, before getting sealed...I think that would be a pretty horrific treatment, but it's not impossible. So who and more importantly why?

Do you even think something like this is possible?

Why do you think that? I think that him using genjutsu has a high probability...and that is one of the weaknesses Kabuto mentioned...do you think Kabuto is capable of taking him, or do you think Madara could interfere, or someone else?

I'm not sure how it's going to happen (Madara does have White Zetsu's spores on Kabuto), but it'd be bad for the story for Kabuto to be taken out by Itachi, unless it also takes out Itachi. It makes Kabuto pretty much a waste of time.

Itachi is regarded a master of genjutsu and one of the weaknesses of Edo Tensei is Kabuto being forced to release the jutsu with a strong genjutsu.So if anyone is going to take advantage of that it's itachi.but this will affect itachi as well so he will end Edo Tensei but will not kill Kabuto.

Idk, I think letting him do that would make Kabuto completely useless. What would he have done, really? Help weaken the Shinobi Army? Strengthen Zetsus? It's not really relevant, since the point was to lure out Bee and Naruto and capture them, which Madara has a decent shot of doing on his own. I don't see the point of Kabuto's emergence if Itachi just pwns him.

Sadly, yes...right now, Itachi's probably my favorite character, but for story purposes, I think that he has to lose to Kabuto (even if Zetsu and/or Madara have to get involved). It'd be a good way for Madara to figure out Kabuto's trump card as well.

I hope we see Chiyo's brother, although I am probally the only one . She seems the more brash sibling while I would think he is the calm calculating one.

Itachi doesn't even need to hypnotize Kabuto. He can just go to each zombie and seal them one by one. If he doesn't want his intentions to be revealed, he can go to Kabuto, own him, then genjutsu his ass to release Edo Tensei, which will also free Itachi's soul. My money's on the latter. How epic will it be to see Madara's face when his 6 paths crumble away. Lol!

I don't think Itachi will succeed, If he did Kabuto's trump card would be an utter disappointment and totally useless. Sadly I think Itachi won't fully succeed, he might weaken Kabuto or something though.

To fully answer the thread's question. I'm not sure we will actually see the swordsmen again. It would be pretty horrible of Kakashi's division to struggle for this long against six swordsmen. However it's not beyond Kishi's ability to make something illogical happen.

I'm also sceptical about Kimimaro and Chiyo. They were facing a secondary character and I would be really uninterested in seeing Mifune fight more. If we see them again I would want to see them appear at Kakashi's location (=Lee vs Kimimaro 2.0) and then only see a panel of Mifune's team having been owned.

Whoever Kishi wants to "waste time on", will get it after the Kage fight. That's the last important high level Edo Tensei fight anyway. After that it's up to Kishi whether he wants to move the plot quickly forward or wants to use additional chapters on fights with Kimimaro and Seven Swordsmen. By the way, you didn't mention Deidara, he's the biggest disappointment of them all IMO and I really liked Deidara's character when he was alive. If Kishi gives spotlight to Kimimaro, he will likely have freed Deidara.

I wonder why everyone forgets that Itachi himself is still just a summoned corpse, and can be undone with a simple gesture by Kabuto. Or can't he be?
Shiusui's super-genjutsu released his mind, but his body still "depends" on Edo Tensei, no?

no way...Itachi must succeed, because if he wont it will mean he is not god, which would go against predicament that Itachi is god that we already know is true--> Itachi will stop ET nomatter how much u dont want it

Kabuto already tried to release him and can't. Not sure how Itachi will find him though.
