    Good point there!

    -------------------------------
    BTW:

Is this sure the right order? Looks like the last 3 Sites there are not in the right order.
    There it is:
    http://34.imagebam.com/download/Aaey...7471579/17.png
    http://42.imagebam.com/download/HHZe...7471607/18.png
    http://36.imagebam.com/download/5t-F...7471628/19.png

But i think it should be more like:

    http://36.imagebam.com/download/5t-F...7471628/19.png
    http://34.imagebam.com/download/Aaey...7471579/17.png
    http://42.imagebam.com/download/HHZe...7471607/18.png

Mostly because in the last panel of site 19 it looks like someone is opening something. It could be interpreted as kumogis view (if she could see) from in the box when the King starts to open it.
Then site 17 because he just opened it.
Then site 18 mostly because there is the Hunter X Hunter "End" Symbol.

Would make sense. (Note: from this point here i only have the pictures and no information of what the translation is.)
But of course the page 19 could mean some other place, like the dark Place in this cave and someone is opening a door.
So what i said could be hardly wrong but i just wanted to mention that it just depends of the viewpoint.

I do. That's the smile of someone who's not afraid to die and is ready to kill.

Re: Hunter x Hunter Chapter 314 Spoiler Thread

Judging from the Chinese Translation, the kings says "4-7-1 Bishop (or the name of one of the game pieces that they were playing)" he waits, then gives that creepy smile, then says "wake up Komugi, it's your move".

Basically the whole chapter is the King admitting that he knows that his time is limited, and the only thing he wants is to be by komugi's side.

Its quite touching actually. Through out the whole arc, the King had been built up to be the strongest nen user that will enslave the human race, and there is nothing the best nen users can do about it. At the end, he is brought down by a girl who has no nen ability at all. Its a typical twist that's been done several times before, but executed very well in this situation.

Actually, I don't know if it's symbolic or anything but about the "4-7-1 Bishop" that I wrote before, the japanese / chinese character actually is equivalent to the chess piece "King" of a chess board (the most important piece to the game). So it should be "4-7-1 King", perhaps a reference to himself or something or another, interpret it as you will.

Actually, Komugi is able to use Nen. But she is one of the artisan types. Remember how during the Yorknew City arc, Killua and Gon go to a trader's market and use Gyo to find high-quality works? Komugi is sort of like that (chapter 257; the online translation says "awakening" when the dialog refers to "nen") only her ability is specifically limited to improving in Gungi.

But it's a matter of the world's strongest creature being sublimated by the world's most frail solely due to the power of her mind. It was a great idea.

But that is not Nen, it's only their skill growing. Even if everyone has Aura and put it on the objects they do and like, it's not the same that using Nen. Nen involves awakening the full flux of that aura, thing that Komugi has not.

Plus a handful of Hunters, a couple of whom made totally great sacrifices, and a Rose bomb with its poison.

But if the translation is accurate, yes indeed it is very touching. We've seen Meryem act tenderly before so we know he's capable of being tender. The smile though. There's nothing sweet about that smile goddamit. For some reason Meryem always looks so goddamned creepy. It's like he was born without the ability to create happy or kind facial expressions.

    Someone please translate Palm's words...?

Nen isn't just the access to Hatsu, nor is it the awakening of the full process. Her skill is transcending because of Nen. The King literally sees her aura change in that chapter. One can unconsciously learn Nen and have it apply itself to their trade.

Aura is an energy produced by all living bodies vital for survival. The pores or points on the body where aura flows out from are called Shouko (aura nodes). Controling those shouko is the first step to be a user of Nen. ("Nen is the ability to freely manipulating aura")
What Meruem saw was her aura, and If I'm not wrong, He made a comparison about how He could "see" her skill growing. I doubt She can control it, but who knows.

One can manipulate Nen unconsciously though. The word "Nen" itself means "idea," and refers to the power of one's own mind. So geniuses are the unconscious exception--they unlock this power without realizing it. Look at this page, at the bottom right corner. Killua's dialogue is mistranslated here. It should say:

"Four-eyes said that talented people in any field often use Nen without knowing it. Things with a trace of aura, like this knife, were probably made by geniuses."

What he is referencing is this page. This is another mistranslation, but what Wing is saying is essentially that few people know of Nen or utilize it--but those who do are known as geniuses. Komugi is a genius in terms of Gungi.

Neon Nostrade developed an entire Hatsu without even being aware of it--she just thought she was writing fortunes. In that sense, she's a genius. This scene is supposed to indicate the growth of Komugi's Nen. It isn't just her skill, but her aura transferring into her hands and the pieces.

I thought Neon was a Hunter herself who was trained in Nen but I guess her fondness for fortune-telling made her a genius and gave her a Hatsu.

About Komugi though the aura might just be some symbolic effect of her abilities as a Gun-Gi player rising. It could be Nen but it's sure it hasn't reached Neon's level yet (enough to call it a "Hatsu").

One doesn't have to have a Hatsu to learn Nen, though. Hatsu utilizes the full capability of Nen, but Gon and Killua were using it long before they developed their Hatsu.

Neon had a personal connection to fortune telling, and it manifested in an ability that she was entirely aware of. Not only that, but she unconsciously imposed limits on herself to make the ability stronger. She never reads the fortunes she writes--she does not even understand that what she is doing is actual psychic ability. Neon just thinks that she's really good at fortunetelling.

As for Komugi, it has already been established that she's the world champion of Gungi--she's already a genius. However, Nen allows her to transcend. I don't think that the aura is figurative, but a literal light. When the King meets up with the Royal Guards near the end of the chapter, he mentions that he literally sees Komugi's body covered in light. Since the King never refers to Nen by its actual name (he calls it "the awakening" and aura is referred to as "light"), it can be inferred that it is what he means.

Also, if Komugi loses this game, her and the King will die together in that warehouse. I can't see her really living too much longer afterwards. She's blind--how would she find her way out of the storage unit if nobody's there.

Exactly what I said, if it's Nen it's not enough to be called a Hatsu as in Neon's case. It's just a light covering her body (Ten or something). I don't know why this has to be explained to me as if I didn't understand it.

But Ten is still Nen. All of the exercises are--Zetsu, Ren, En, Hatsu, In, etc. They're just different applications of it. Komugi's Nen is of the "genius" type. We don't actually know what her Nen ability did other than give her new ideas for moves. It could just be one of those mysterious specialist things.

EDIT: Oh, I totally misread your last two posts. Never mind this post, then.

The chess move is Komugi talking in her sleep.
