Am I the only one bothered at the sentence at the end? Ant chimera arc finally reaches its climax?
Does this mean there is more of the ants?
Sorry for this, I feel ignorant...But was the term Majuu used before? :O Can't remember and I was lost when Murou used it.
All this last chapter were about closing stories (Well, keeping them open to other story would be more appropriate) and what happens with the characters from this point.
i think the new kaito is a boy. it'll be so weird and pointless if it's a girl
Funny how koruto calls kyte reina when her actual sister is already back home with her mom. Anyways, the whole thing about kite bring brought back as a girl is very weird. Whats gonna happen when he gets her/his memories back? Once kite's boy memories come back he should feel a bit weird about the whole dating scenario right? Poor guy is going to go through puberty twice. I can already see kite complaining that puberty as a boy was already bad enough, redoing it as a female ant is bound to be bad. Anyways, the implications of this development are quite interesting. The one part that disturbed me is that kite was never actually eaten by the queen, how did he get brought back? And is that actually kite or just some weird copy of his memories? I mean, how would they get resurrected when we see them getting butchered beforehand?

Here's a page from the manga where the king says he was served a rich meal while he was in the queens stomach. Most people figure it was Pokkel but what if he was refering to Kaito? again this is just a speculation.

I would say the queen eats his Brain.
Remember when the King just got out and killed farmers. He said that the best taste is the brain.
Also he said later that rare prey has the best taste.
In Combination that means the queen could´ve eaten Kaitos brain. Rare preys Brain.
And probably for the case that pitou was true to gon, thats why he said that he cannot heal him anymore (without brain you cannot survive, and in the end he was just a controlled body.)
Yeah just like Netero mentioned.
When Knuckles brought Kite back he said he sealed Kite's aura power, but he can't seal the aura power that came from Pitou which is controlling Kite. So, this implies Kite still had some innate aura power at that point. If he didn't have his brain, that'd mean you can generate aura without your brain, which seems kind of odd for a power that's always been described as the force of life. I mean, does anyone seriously consider a person without a brain as alive? Yes aura can persist through death, but it's also described as a case where the user's will is so strong that it sticks around. Again, it'd seem pretty weird to have willpower if you're missing both your brain and your soul (Pitou said Kite's soul was already gone when he died).
It's probably not that important to go over the exact semantics. The problem with Kite's reincarnation is that it invalidates what Gon's been fighting for. It's clear the Hunters constantly keep tabs on Colt and the status of the baby, so apparently Colt was just one day late to report the news that Kite didn't die? HXH isn't a story where you get a bailout from death for being popular/cute/handsome. Kite's death is clearly central to the conflict so far Gon is concerned, and it really diminishes the impact of the story if it turned out he never died (clearly HXH world considered reincarnated guys roughly the same as who they were before).
But somehow would defeat Killua going in a quest to make his friend alive to punch his face.
I wouldn't be surprised if Pokkle is alive. I would prefer him death, I hated him. But oh well, the possibility is still out there.
in this translation, kaito is referred to as a "he."
anyway i also find it weird to call a boy "reina". but this is an emotional colt we're talking about. maybe he doesn't know any better, since he's also a newborn. does he even know that the name reina refers to his sister, or is it a name he knew was important but he doesn't really remember more details than that? maybe he just associated the name reina to "someone i should protect", regardless of the gender of the kid.
anyway i'm not discounting the other possibility, but right now i'm really leaning towards kite being a boy. there are simply too many difficulties if the new kite is a girl.
Oh damn. It would have been more fun if He was a girl.
Shame on you, Togashi. You and your fetishes.
I looked up various translations I have available for Biscuit's age when she compared herself to Killua, and looking at the translation I'd have to guess the original Japanese said '20ish'. She did say Killua had 'terrifying talent', so I don't think she was 20 on the dot. At any rate, mastering the hardest concept of aura in 1/3 the time compared to Biscuit is still pretty scary if you think about it.
I think you can rule out saving Gon would involve anything related to capacity. That is, if they found another Super Gon and have his aura power to work with (cleraly a staggering amount of aura), it still wouldn't work. Whereas Gon has unrivaled talent in capacity, Killua clearly has similar level of talent in precision. Aura, after all, is not just combat in nature. I think we'll see Killua demonstrating how aura can be used outside of combat.
