I must say I like this manga. It is a good change for me. The reason I like the Japanese culture is mainly bc of their samurai. I think Kendo (in our time) comes close to that. Furthermore it is a weekly sounen, which also seems to get scanlated on a regular basis. I couldn't ask for more. I definitely looking forward to this.

I love how Yodaka just accepts that Sayuri is a ghost from the Edo period and starts fighting her But next week should be the start of the practice match!! I'm excited to see how Kurogane will do. Even I'm sure he'll be dominated, I'd like to think he will at least show some interesting skills, enough to impress Yodaka maybe.

Here we thought that Cloud Strife (sorry, I still don't remember his name >_<) was really strong, but seeing how Yodaka basically kept up with Sayuri.. anyway, Kurogane does have a chance to impress Yodaka (his eyes + he probably got at least a bit better in Sakura Sword Style and Yodaka should recognize the style), ofc he won't win anything...
I also look forward to others from that noble school, but seeing them, I don't think Kurogane's school can win even with the strategy to focus on 3 wins of weaker characters.

Actually I didn't like the fact that Yodake wasn't surprised of the Ghost. Didn't rly fit in well, considering that Sayuri is hiding her form from almost everyone in the manga, also Kurogano was surprised himself as he met her the first time. Seemed to me as if the author wasn't planning that well in advance. Maybe Im thinking too much.

Regardless good chapter. Im glad that we have already a ongoing strong "antagonist" (if u can call him that) in the story. Just like in OP with Mihwak. We have a advanced rival and a goal standing at the top, not to mention the art of the manga is great as well. Im seeing bright future for this series, I hope it gets popular.

I feel like the point of Yodaka not being surprised was almost entirely meant to be comical. It shows how laid back and relaxed he is but in a funny way. It's the first time I've seen that in a sports series that uses a ghost mentor. I liked it.

Ah I left out some of what I meant to say D: I meant to say a sports series that uses a ghost mentor that allows that mentor to be seen by others besides the main character. Quite a few have used the ghost mentor thing Maybe one day I'll learn to proofread >.>

It's interesting to some (I'm assuming not really the actual starters) of the members of the champion in the district Rakuyou. These guys look like goons reminds me of the guys who bullied Shiratori in the first chapter.

This whole match with Hakurei reminds me of Shohoku when they first fought Ryonan also for a practice game... I wish this also turns out that way where you'll still be excited for their actual match in the official tournament.

Looks like I was only partially right about one chapter per fight, since the same fight is still going on at the end of chapter. Guess I'm heartless since I find it kind of boring...

Also he doesn't really have the time to drag these fights out now that it's getting rated. I predict it's going to take a huge nosedive the two chapters Aizen was brought into the story. Maybe later if the ratings stay good he can stretch them out and make them more in depth but not now that it's already just out of the bottom five...

I thought this person (Panel 2) was a female. Yet she was referred in chapter 14 as a male. I must say the fights are very short. Not that I complaining or anything, especially since I hate fights which needs longer than 2-3 chapters, but Im surprised at the pace. I wish the author would take more time developing and hyping the characters before the fights, it seems too rushed. The hyping of the monkey kid was for example fine though.

I officially declare Kamiya as baddass. xD I rly like that guy.
