I think you're right: when Nuri sees an attack coming, he heals a LOT faster. Just look at his hand to hand fight with Kaze. He healed and grew larger. When he was cut from behind, he took what seemed to be minutes to heal. When he was shot by many people without seeing where they were, he died quickly and didn't have time to heal. This is especially truewhen Katou blasted him to pieces with the Z-Gun and finished him off.

We will never know for sure but now at a certain cap (each boss was stronger than the last) regardless of a boss power in a mission the maximum points his death grants is 100 ?
If i remember correctly the Angel statue mission gave Kurono 9X points but i'm not sure if it was from the boss only (dead or not ?) or from the multiple kills.

Could have been cool to see some with 200 points or more. Instantaneous uber weapon in one go.

I don't see why the other statues wouldn't give him points, Kurono probably killed a lot of weaker statues and along the points David was worth he obtained the 9X score.

I never said he didn't use his suit well, i think he did a good job at the punching and shooting lasers thing...right until they stopped working. When he went to face Nuri he thought his hard suit would be enough to take him (just like the dead guy from this chapter who went face to face with the bone monster) but it wasn't, his suit got trashed and he was lucky to not get killed.

And just when he is wearing the normal suit like everyone else he just says "That's enough for me...the risk is too high", he simply gave up when he lost his hard suit. Oh, and Oka didn't told them the alien weakness, they just were lucky to hear him saying that, Oka was just talking alone.

Maybe I misunderstood your point but when someone says "they relied too much" on something, they are usually implying that they solely depended on the strength and power of something. Which wasn't the case with Oka. He effectively used everything well, like I said before. The feats he did weren't merely the product of the weapons he had but how he used it. In the end he even used just the basic sword.

Comparing Oka 1 on 1 with Nurari to the team doesn't speak of how well they used basic weapons at all but just teamwork.

@BrazilianGantzer: Probably Osaka. Katou killed Nuri (100 points) but he also killed a number of other aliens.

@Forever Rain: The way Oka used all of the technology to his advantage sets him apart as the best Gantzer we've seen so far.

Tokyo's "teamwork" is pretty poor. It only works because Kei and Katou are prepared to go first. The plan is always "hey guys watch my back while I take on the boss single handedly".

Yes...and Oka depended on his hard suit to fight, after it was trashed he left the fight because the risk was too high and at the end he was killed.

See, he had the strongest weapons but that wasn't enough to survive...like that guy from this chapter.

I don't know if they used the guns well, the point is those guns (and yes, z gun is still low tier compared to the hard suit) were enough for the TT to kill a 100 pointer just as the sword was enough to chop the monsters head. While the Hard Suit just got trashed...again and that's all i'm saying.

I'm not saying Oka sucks or that he didn't found the weakness of the alien or that he didn't use his gear well. I'm just saying "guy with the hax suit gets killed by an alien but guys with the weaker weapons kill the same alien".

The fact is, like most of the Osaka team, he had potential to kill Nuri and the other aliens in the missions. He was just cocky and overconfident. He didn't think before he acted and, as a result, failed to noticed the enemies strenghths and weaknesses. So he was defeated.

Exactly, strong players sucked because they were acting stupidly selfish and overconfident in such dangerous situations.

BTW, If I were a gantzer I would advise every fighter to take his stance and attack the boss simultaneously together when he appears. Unlike what happens in gantz where individuals are sent one after another to fight while the others romantically watch and cry

The only time where they sat around and didn't attack was the Nuri fight. In most of the other boss fights most if not all the Gantzers were about KIA. Keep in mind they all worked together to defeat Oni and Keppe alien. Everyone was split up during the 1000 Arms fight.

Yes, I know there are good examples and there are bad examples. In the Oni mission I liked the final KO hit where izumi and kei worked simultaneously and were able to cut the boss's head. However, I didn't like how the fight against him began with each player fighting individually (if I remember correctly: first Kaze, then Sakata, then Reika...). Just my opinion though...

@anime9999 Yeah I agree with you it was pretty odd that they just watched each other fight this one guy but the stupidest part of the fight was how everyone just uncloaked themselves to fight him, I know it looks cool and all but you can attack while cloaked so why did they uncloak themselves? They could have just finished that fight by shooting him in the head with a X-gun before he even noticed they were there.

Is there a rule on how the scanner works? Changing frequency seems insanely useful against many of the aliens seen so far yet very few characters have actually used the scanner to cloak themselves. Makes me wonder why they don't turn invisible for these bugs, I doubt the bugs are intelligent enough to actually work out were they are without their eyes.
