well i prefer the manga ending than that happening, I would love to see a time jump whit negi adult, but the thing i dont like is the hole Chao future happening, is like negi fate its decedided the instand chao came up, no matter what he do everything is going to lead him to that future, be that he succes saving the magic world or if he fails. I fucking hate the historys when the hero beat the bad guy because it was his destiny, is like the heroe could stay in his home drinking beer and whitouth doing anything the thing would end the same way because it was destiny, so what is the fucking point. negi doenst have a choice in his life. the plan, what girl he is going to marrie, everything is set. is like living in the matrix

Not really, the plan of Mega-blah-blah was far more worse than negi's attempt. They planned on making everyone a member of the dream world, which is counter productive of nature (evolution/adaptation/overcoming). You could say the fact that Chao came, inspired Negi to do more for his life than mope for his father. Negi now has a vision for the future, and he has plan which will end up as an attempt. And even if he does not succeed in his lifetime, someone else will in the future following on his work (like most life stories of philosophers and inventors, dreamers 'til the end, shaping our beloved future/present).

If it wasn't for that motivation humans have had for making an idea a reality, we would not have the technology to post this thread in the first place. I mean, could you imagine the internet in the 19th century? The idea was just conceived 60 years into the 20th century; and 50 years latter, its like the internet is a fact of modern society and a "necessary" tool.

Negi made the right decision even if it ended up making Chao's future come true. Chao learned that as well, that she does not need to change the past, but change her present, overcome her struggles, to shape her own future. That's why she left instead of staying, she knows she belong to that future where she is needed most. Take DBZ for all I care, trunks came back to his future, and overcame his adversary, and shaped his future by his own motivation.

It makes sense if the story ends on a semi dark tone, but above all, they have not lost hope.

I like this chapter much more than the previous ones.
But really... When will there be a story progress? I foretell this will go on for the next chapters until this volume is filled.

And what the hell is up with his sneezes? If he had sneezed while fighting wit MotB he could have easily stripped him out of his father. Wait... That´s the way to save his dad!

Negi got a little bit adult. Now he thinks about his future and not only about his Dad. I´am really looking forward for the next arc. This will show how much Negi changed.

there are some things on this chapter on vetus it look like in this supposed new long arc the forming of a new pactio whit ayaka doesnt even deserved one chapter to show it, akamatsu sensei is really rushing thing, even if is sad negima is ending soon.

Really? you choose your favorite based on "screen-time"? You really should consider other things, like perosnality, and let's face it, chisame doesn't even have a personality. As a character, Eva is one of the best, considering how was she developed.

Anyway, it was obvious that we would see some peaceful time, first of all, because it's necessary (any good writer knows that), and besides, it's good to see they have a life other than pure battle, that way the story is way better than just DBZ-style (battle after battle with almost zero background story). That's what made Negima so good.

Its not like I choose them based on screentime, but I do like Chisame's personality. and if Akamatsu keeps neglecting Eva, how do you expect me to react.

anyway, I also thought of a time skip. not sure of how big a skip, but yeah. also, you guys keep talking about a skip to when negi is an adult, but remember he isnt human anymore and maybe he doesnt age like a regular human anymore. maybe 10 years pass and he is still the same size ^^;

anyway, Im liking the peaceful pace Negima is taking. its a nice change of pace after the whole Mundus Magicus thing. ofc, Ill be very excited when the shit hits the fan again.

PS: I wouldnt say Ayaka has a Pactio with Negi so readily. She did use the word "partner" but ionnu, maybe she was just pulling Chisame's leg. Let's wait and see

Butz, I agree with the partner thing being just "business" partner, and she is just pulling her leg. But it would not cross my mind that she actually become one temporally, due to an ex-Chao-partenr from the future trying to kill Negi and Co. for continuing with the plan.

this chapter is practiacly saying that the plan for saving the magic world of negi is going to lead to chaos future, the whole chao arc about time travel and the current one, like i said in a previous post to me become just a fucking waste of time. negi is going to spend his whole life in a plan that would only lead to the equivalent of a interplanetary world war II that turn so bad that someone create a time machine to change it.

maybe who knows... becouse negi is totaly aware of chao and what happened... maybe he is traveling in magic world... to gain fame so people would trust him more which would be helpfull in the time of saying the plan...

simply make both sides understand each other so the war would not happen.... and well chao's future is kinda distant its not like a war happened right away....but chao is further relative and not negis himself... so negi had children...children got their own children...and eventually in the process chao appeared... so maybe 100-200years after negis death... since she called him their "great anncestor"

It was good and peacefull life by his time line....but future depends on peoples own doing...they create their fates...in chaos current time line there was serious war... but we dont know how it happend...

I dont know if I remember it right but didnt she mention that the magic world collapsed and people were left on the desert fighting for their lifes and with the invasion from earth or something

well maybe what negi is doing is different road... the road of undestanding...make mars green and allow normal people (from earth) live there as they want...along with citizen from magic world.... no splitting between Mars and Earth people...


but I feel extremlly !!! sad... that there is no glimpse of "what happened to Arika"... negi forgot about nagi completly (that is is beign possesed by MotB)... and the hell is gravemaster ;/ at least they should tell how is that person related to negi...

well all that is not going to be resolved until negi get free time, and that is going to be in at least 10 years. 30 chapter? in the path negima is going the series is not going to last that much, negi doesnt have time for anyting other that the plan and the only villan is sealed and appears everybody just forgot hi. and for what i know the serie is supposed to end when the girls graduated this year, so is school life and a open ending. so we might never get answers.
well the famous plan of negi to save the magic wordl turn out to be complete bullshitt, terraforming come on, there are some many things wrong whit that plan that you could write a book about it. and i talking about rules of the same negima that made the whole plan sound stupid.
