the king made is choice and it was indeed the BEST choice... ikkixringo.

not just that but we finally have the answer for what kind of feelings ikki and kururu have for each other, they admire each other but they dont love each other.

anyway as a fan of ikkixringo i can finally say that im VERY happy with this.

Don't you know the kind of relationship the Gram Scale and the SC Suit forge between a "King" and his/her Tuner? It's been mentioned in the manga, and I also talked about it last page. Even if Ikki goes with someone other than Kururu, because she's Tuner, his relationship with her will still much, much deeper and more intimate. I mean, yeah, do remember that Kururu only "can't" Tune right now because she's acting as Chronos to connect with Skylink through Yggdrasil. That's why they need someone else to Tune Ikki. Once this is done with, Kururu will be able to resume her duties as Ikk's Tuner.

Also, Kururu does love Ikki. Remember that time when Kururu, Ringo, and Simca were trying to tell him that there's another way he can enter the Gram Scale Tournament (Inorganic Battle/Eternal Seed battle)? All three of them are in love with Ikki, but with Kururu, it's also a friendly rivalry type thing. And also recall that when Onigiri used his Smell Road powers on Ikki to make him see who he loves, the one Ikki saw wasn't Ringo; it was Kururu. His feelings can change, yes, but for now he loves Kururu and only sees Ringo as his sister. Ringo's love for him right now is one-sided, even though she's already confessed to him. [By the time of this chapter, Ikki's feelings for Ringo might have grown, but until now, he loved Kururu and idolized Simca, while seeing Ringo only as a sister; that's a fact.]

but based on the latest chapter oh great even decided to dedicate some pages to clear what kind of feelings ikki and kururu have for each other, its admiration and not love... and thats all.

He's said himself more than once that he sees Ringo only as a sister. Most standing-out one for me was when Akito, Onigiri, and Kazu were teasing him while they were in Aeon's mansion about who he loves. They were saying it's Ringo, and that he idolizes Simca, while he was saying that Simca is the only one for him and that Ringo is like a sister to him. Then Onigiri comes up and uses his Smell Road powers to make Ikki look inside his heart to see the girl he loves. Ikki sees an image of Kururu. What does that tell you?

Also, I did edit that post later to add in brackets that, up until now, Ikki has loved Kururu in a romantic way and has only seen Ringo as a sister, but that it might change or that it could already have changed. I already said that. And even if Ringo and Ikki do end up together, Kururu is still Ikki's Tuner. She can't Tune him right now because she's acting as Chronos to connect to Skylink through Yggdrasil, but after that, she'll be able to resume her duties as Ikki's Tuner. We're looking at a harem here, and a "King"'s relationship with his/her Tuner has been said to be deeper and more intimate the the one between friends, family members, or even lovers. Ikki would have to be Tuned by Kururu first, of course, but I'm sure it'll happen.

the problem is... that whole chapter was a big comic relief after some pretty serious fights and whole bunch of development between ikki and ringo. ikki as yet to seriosly state that ringo is just a sister, not between jokes around friends.

and what does that tell me about??? that oh great decided to slow down the ikkixringo by introducing kururu, nothing more than that.

and a "King"'s relationship with his/her Tuner has been said to be deeper and more intimate the the one between friends, family members, or even lovers... well thats curious... please enlight me about WHO is the one that will tune ikki... the FIRST person to ever tune ikki... the one IKKI ASKED to tune him??? is her name maybe ringo... curious indeed!!!

anyway theres no point in this, people around the net that do know how to read japanese, like the guy who posted the summary here, are already saying that this chapter finishes the "ikki with who thing"... and its ringo.

so with that we have the answer for the love triangle... now we can move on to the next question... is ikki a gravity child too??? what are uncles mikami objectives???... after all the manga is getting close to the end.

Kururu can't Tune him right now. She'll Tune him later, though, since the position of his Link Tuner belongs to her. Ringo is just filling in for that. And frankly, I don't really have a problem whether he goes with Ringo, Kururu, or Simca. We're looking at a harem ending, though, most likely.

I do know that that chapter I referred to was only a comedy chapter, but that would've been it if not for Ikki seeing Kururu when he looked into his heart. Ikki saw her, so that means that at least back then, he loved her and not Simca or Ringo. Ikki being teased was the comic relief part, not the part about Ikki's feelings. And there's also the chapter in which Ringo, Kururu, and Simca were sitting in that table with Ikki, and there was a panel that said they're waiting for who talks first, and are in a battle to see who controls the future (with Ikki). It was at the time when Kogarasumaru had been disqualified from the GS Tournament, and those three girls were wanting to tell Ikki that there's another way for Kogarasumaru to participate (that being to take over the Eternal Seed Authority by winning in the Inorganic Net battle). All three of them love Ikki romantically, but from this chapter, and also from when Kururu and Ringo, along with the other Tool Toul To members were on their way to the aircraft carrier, Kururu not only loves Ikki but also sees him as a (friendly) rival.

I don't think Ikki's a Gravity Child. He might be a combination between a Gravity Child and Brain Charger, similar to what Gazelle (the "original") was.

By the way, does Ikki say in this chapter that he loves Ringo?

"Ringo is just filling in for that" and yet he could have asked for ANY of the other girls there to tune him... and yet he already knows how ringo feels about him... and yet he knows what means to be tuned... and still he ASKED ringo, come on... to think theres no deep meaning there is a little bit to much.

" She'll Tune him later" yeah... because ikki will be tuned on regular basis from now on... the guy who is finally tuned after more than 300 chapters and the manga that is reaching its climax, sorry friend but this most probably will be a one time event only.

"By the way, does Ikki say in this chapter that he loves Ringo? " by the way ikki ever SAID he loves kururu??? as a matter of fact does kururu ever SAID that she loves ikki???...

and in the end ACTIONS as we see in this chapter SPEAKS louder thant words.

Manga is ending, but Ikki's life is continuing until he dies. And only Gravity Children can go on without Tuning. Ikki isn't a Gravity Child, so he'll still need Tuning.

yeah, very true. take tenjo tenge, nagi never ended up with anyone despite all the love triangles going on there. i think o!g is very inclined to leave the main character's love relationship undecided so i think the series will end with ikki not officially being with any girl (each one will still try to win ikki over in their own way).

as it stands, ikki's choice of ringo was only because out of everyone else, she was the best suited. he understood that kururu was unable to do the tuning herself, and he isn't exactly saying that he loves ringo in choosing her, he simply chose her to tune him in place of kururu. as much of a pervert that ikki can be, in the wake of bagram being stolen by hako and her offering herself to be ikki's tuner and more, ikki had clearly stated he wouldn't accept her as his tuner to which agito cleared that up by explaining how even ikki realizes that kururu is the better partner (skill-wise). even earlier than that, when bagram was found and they were officially introducing kururu as ikki's tuner, simca had come up and begged ikki to be his tuner to which he declined even her. you can say he was brushing her off due to him not wanting to take leadership of genesis but he could have arranged it that he would accept her as his tuner but still refuse leading genesis.

in the end, ikki recognizes and accepts only kururu as his tuner. given the circumstances, both ikki and kururu acknowledge that the next best candidate to perform the tuning would be ringo. kururu knows about ringo's feelings too, so you could say that both girls can relate well enough since they both like ikki but are more on the shy/reserved side when it comes to expressing that. ringo's confession was simply acknowledge by ikki but he didn't say one way or another that he felt the same way back.

i did point out the times when ikki has refused other tuners but you apparently don't remember... if you want specific chapters:

ch 119: simca begs ikki to be his tuner and he declines (not directly said but simca was upset so it can only mean that ikki refused). shortly afterwards, simca is attacked by sf and injured.
ch 128: hako and konomi are giving new regular a-ts to use for ikki (made by hako) and he doesn't accept them. kururu is still repairing and tuning bagram.
ch 146: hako offers herself to ikki as his tuner and more. ikki declines the offer. the difference in skill between hako and kururu is pointed out. agito also points out that hako is not 'simca, ringo or kururu' (the 3 girls he accepts in different ways).

you should also note that in all instances of everyone referring to kururu as ikki's tuner, ikki did not refuse accepting her. though he never really outright says that kururu is his tuner, he displays this with his actions and refusal of other tuners. ikki is too blunt and too much of a guy to say it simply, instead using actions and disjointed sentences to explain himself.
