Day on a Survival Mountain was pretty average. Some cool nonsense, but...
Watch Another Story OVAs. Hyoutei and Rikkai as chibies, or so I heard *___* I watched the first Another Story, about Shiten, no chibies there though.

D2 was pretty close to the manga version from what I recall, but Momoshiro/Kaidou lose only 6-7 instead of 1-6. Momoshiro also used a Super Dunk Smash (don't remember the exact name) here, which wasn't in the manga and attained in a filler training camp. I forgot whether Kaidou used his filler upgrade. Bunta got Rising Shot which he didn't have in the anime.

D1 was changed a lot. The switch never happens and Rikkai's strategy for the first half is to predict Kikumaru's movements (basically the same thing Saeki did, no clue why they thought it was a good idea to do that again). It's probably because of the first point in the manga, but Rikkai just scores and doesn't try to hit Kikumaru. Yagyuu got some form of backstory, Laser Beam got changed to Golf Swing, Oishi Territory was omitted.

S3 is the same for the most part iirc. Inui hit a Super Rising and a Jack Knife but that's about it. Easily the best match here imo.

S2 didn't feature Fuji going blind but instead reused Akaya's strategy from his manga match with Echizen (hitting the opponent's knee). Otherwise not much happens here, Akaya didn't get Muga or anything either. The only "upgrade" is Fuji developing a special one fotted split step.

S1 was also completly changed. Sanada only has the Fuu part of FuuRinKaZan and calls it "Invisible Swing" and "Invisible Serve". Echizen never got Muga in the anime because his match vs Akaya wasn't shown (he had a match with Sanada instead in which he lost 0-6, but didn't get any upgrades). He instead uses "Cyclone Smash", something resembling Kintarou's Daishaarin Yama Arashi.

Tl;dr Don't watch any of these except maybe S3 and possibly S2 if you didn't like the manga version at all.

Barring a few changes that were needed to correct dumb stuff from the original anime and a few slip ups, they were pretty good indeed.

Another Story Ep 1 and 3 are about Seigaku having a training session with Shiten in Osaka, Ep 2 is 1st year Atobe, Ep 4 is 1st year Akaya. Another Story 2 focuses mostly on Shiten. All episodes are about them during their second year I believe, Ep 3 features Shiraishi/Kenya vs Tachibana/Chitose. I'm not sure about Ep 4 as I never watched it, but I believe it has Marui vs Jirou.

I watched Fuji vs Akaya when I didn't know much about how different the matches are, and I raged. I don't care for Momo/Kaidou and Inui which were close to original, but I'd really like to see Sanada, Fuji and GP matches animated and properly T__T But at least they aired in tv and not only DVD/blurays

Didn't rage when watching it for the first time though since I watched the anime before reading the manga.

There are 3 versions of that Hyoutei Match.
-Mizuki singing the "Omae waaaaaaaaaaa..."
-Yuuta (Ken) singing it
-Sengoku singing it

I still prefer Akaya (Genki).

Nah, only two matches. Summer version has Omae waaaaaaaa two times, once by Mizuki and then by Sengoku, Winter version /is 2 minutes shorter, summer was 9 minutes lol and/ has only one Omae waaaaaa that KENN sings

I myself prefer summer although I do love KENN's voice, but Yamabuki's parts are IMO nicer >_<

I watched Treasure Shiten 5B... I'll hve to finish it tomorrow XD I should never allow myself lie while watching something... I closed eyes during Ah Ecstasy~, only listened to Boku wa Kawaru and then I don't remember anything, I woke up at the speeches XDD

From the first third or so... I'd have to rewatch Treasure 4A to compare, but 5B are great dancers, especially Shiten. But by great I mean Great.
