Yes, and you think middle schools don't think about it at those times? Heck, I was introduced to knowing about s3x that age, at a middle school. I also learn in my middle school, kids were s3xually active, at that age.

You can't say there are no girls like that... one of my classmates was like that when we got to high-school (15) so I don't think too much about it, but then again it's quite improbable that so many girls in one class would end up like that...

Well i have a theory as to what Asuna might be doing.

Well even if Negi's plan to terra-tranform Mars goes well for now, there is still the problem that they can't reach Mars that easily by using Spacecraft's to reach there.

So, most likely Asuna's work is that she is going to the Magic World and then creating a temporary link between the artificial Mars (i.e., Magic World) and the real Mars (by say erasing a small part of the artificial structure). Thus allowing the people working on the project to get an easy and short access to the real Mars.

This is something only Asuna can do. Other than this i can't think of any use for her now (though there is also a possibility that she is working as the regulator for the magical energy present on the Magic World so that it doesn't run out easily).

As for working on negotiations on the MW side, well i don't think Asuna would be the right choice seeing how the people of the MW has regarded her in the past (she is someone who is extremely feared on that side because of her Magic Cancel ability). Also she isn't the type to be able to do negotiations.
