well its good to know that Ikkaku is still as stupid a fighter as always... Some things never change, I suppose. Can't wait for Tsukishima and Ginjou's fights, the rest have just been tedious fodder.

Shishigawara seems to be stronger than usual, if he manages to destroy Ikkaku's sword, shikai or not. However, Ikkaku is an idiot so he could have been a great aid into the breaking of the sword.

i'm sincerely getting worried about the evolution of each character, too much too fast. unless the whole soul society is training in urahara special grounds.. Two years for characters that achieve the goddly age of tho thousand years, like the first captain, should be meaningless. I hope kenpachi doesn't go bankai soon...

I had expected that Hitsu wont kill him. Anyway, Ikkaku's brawl may turn out to be more comedic than a cliffhanger.

so far Shishigawara has done better then the other FB he is strong that is why ginjou did not want to give him more power and told tsukishima to kill him after the fight.

i dont think that they are beating the FB because they became to godly i think we overestimated the FB power.

Yeah, Shishigawara is dangerous because his ability can break anything regardless of what it is or who is wielding it.

Why is it after all this time people think bankai makes a character stronger, in the sense that they get higher base stats. Unless the bankai special ability is to give a power up in base stats like Ichigo's, you are no stronger in bankai than unreleased. What makes bankai such a trump card is the special abilities that it affords.

Kenpachi with bankai isn't stronger than Kenpachi now unless it gives him stats increase.

As it concerns the spoilers, the chapter looks incredibly boring...Kubo is taking his sweet time -__-

Spoilers are ok. The only thing that is strange - I actually thought that Ikkaku should be fast enough to finish Shishigawara off even while sealed, but he wanted to put up Kenpachi's style fight. Maybe he tries to show that he got so good that he can take an opponent with such a hax ability even bare handed.

Bankai doesn't always increase your base skills, but it gets the output of Shinigami's Reiatsu to the maximum, thus this Shinigami can use it to increse the power of the very same attacks he was using in Shikai (like Hitsu's special abilities or Ichigo's Getsuga), but also if you get the higher output of your Reiatsu you can make your Shunpou faster, cause it actually uses Reiatsu to make a slide step. Also, remember Yama's One Bone and Twin Bone... He made an output of his Reiatsu at his max, while being even without his Zan and made such strong attack that destroyed Wondy, the one who made a fodder treatment on two Captains. So of course with his Shikai his Reiatsu output will be even stronger.

hitsugaya was so cold, I had wondered what would happen to the chat rooms if he had killed yukio. I'm still amazed that he's not in shikai (as far as I can tell at least http://www.mangareader.net/bleach/467/2 has him holding his sword, and it does not seem to be in shikai) does that mean his power increased so that hyorinmaru does not need to be released in order for him to use his special abilities?

Otherwise the whole lucky aspect of ikkaku really brings me back to the SS arc... =) good times. really hope that shishigawa guy is done now so we can move on to greater pastures

Hahaha idiot punk didn't even know that if he kept using his ability to hit the same target it would start vanishing xD Too bad that he fought with the luckiest man on Soul Society hehe.

Now, only Ginjo, Riruka and Tsukishima remain. Maybe Riruka will be taken out next and after that it's Tsukishima's turn. Then, only Ginjo remains. Good

If Yukio collapses the dimensions maybe that will give Tsukishima a chance to retreat....

With Byakuya as his opponent he needs all the help he can get lol

I really like how Hitsu acted. Yukio looked all shaken up, why wouldn't he not be. The highlight of this chapter would be Ikkaku. He is really a mini-Kenpachi, isn't he? He just wanted to end it like a brawl. It really makes me laugh a lot. Two more down, almost time for the bigger fish.
