I wonder how will Shioon act when he finds out that Sera was holding back information about his mother from him. I don't see him trust her anymore. Unless, there is really a rational reason, significant enough to benefit Shioon.

Also I think this thing about ShiWoon's mother having any significance other than "plot device" is fairly moot.

Don't you think if someone like Sera is talking about her and trying to conceal information about Shioon's mother - a momentous reasoning?

Don't you think if someone like Sera is talking about her and trying to conceal information about Shioon's mother - a momentous reasoning?

It would really make me glee in nerdy fanboy-ism if Shi Woon does this in his rage or anger mode and then without realizing starts the black origins threshold.

I think I mentioned this before, but I believe what's going on with ShiWoon's mother is that she is hurt. Mainly because the end of Chapter 39 has SeRa and one of her men talking about someone who's been taken into the hospital who's condition is "hard to determine". If not ShiWoon's mother I see no idea who else it could be, with perhaps the exception of SeHui or whatever that girl's name was that he was classmates with.

My guess at the moment is that the SunWoo elder ordered her to be taken out or something for fairly obvious reasons - if her son disappears, the mother might go to the cops or start prying or something. ShiWoon mentions in Chapter 39 that his mother hasn't been answering the phone calls since "a couple of days ago". Which means a day or possibly two before Jini received the orders to take ShiWoon out after he unexpectedly survived his fight against JiGun. Elder was probably tying up loose ends.

Could I be wrong? Probably. But if I'm wrong I'd probably be wrong on who ordered the attack and not the person who's in the hospital.

That is, at the very least, what I believe.

SeRa concealing information on ShiWoon's mother makes sense. If he knows that his mother has been grievously injured, he could either go batshit insane or get crushed by depression, or maybe rage. Regardless, he wouldn't be able to focus on his training, which is what SeRa wants more than anything at the moment.

I totally forgot about that and no, your dialogue makes complete sense. It very well be the reason for what Sera said. Shioon should lose his composure if such information reached him during the training. If that is the case, Sera is taking a giant risk, if something happens to his mother, Shioon wont let it slide against Sera or the elder.
