The Volume Covers Thread [NEW: Vol. 62!]

The next cover will probably have Naruto, Obito (with mask) & Kakashi. Hopefully it looks great.

Kind of boring cover to me. After the previous two this one seems uninspired and lacks creativity. Kishi's weakest covers are when he just smashes in a bunch of characters, like in this one. A more clean cover with just Naruto with e.g. Tobi as a background would have been way cooler. Naruto is by all means really cool in this cover, but this cover lacks Tobi. There's a saying that "too much equals reduced quality", and in this case it's true to me.

I guess Kishi felt it would be too much Tobi with him in this and the next cover, but it doesn't change that him as a major character, much more so than Madara in this volume, should be in the cover.

disagree,it's not so bad,imo. but surely tobi had to be here! this volume should end at chapter 598,that is volume 63 will open with obito's face. it'd be a too big revelation to show obito in the next cover,so maybe it will have the "characters in a flashback": something like what happened in vol.53,we will have young obito,young rin and young kakashi with old madara. something like that

Also maybe its time to edit the title, vol. 58 was out 1 year ago

matt, not sure I get your point. Showing Tobi's face wouldn't be okay in volume 63, but showing Obito's post-crushed child face would be okay? It's the same face only without Rinnegan

I personally don't see Kishi giving Tobi a mask in the next cover. A really cool cover would be a huge face of Obito's in the background with his mask shattered in the air around him, and somehow integrate Naruto in there. Rin could be there, but while she's the driving force for Obito's evil path, she's such a minor character that I sort of doubt she'll make an actual cover.

just checked here: it will finish with naruto breaking his mask (that is it lasts 11 chaps).since we already knew (whilst reading vol.62) that tobi's eye is actually obito's eye,it'd be fair that ,in order to troll,kishi shows kakashi gaiden 2 before revealing his face. instead,everyone will be surprised...no,kishi can't put obito's,well,tobi's face in the cover of vol.63.

Yeah, something along the lines of that. Only that you replace Naruto with Rin, and have Madara looking like the one in this cover. It might probably the old Madara, though. Can't wait to see it.
