It's showtime. Ashirogi's new one-shot vs Eiji's new one-shot. Who will be the winner this time around?
P.S. I'll update this thread with more info on both series, once 152 gets scanlated
I will go with Zombie Gun, but i think the art of Crow and Reversi were better, maybe because the Zombie kid reminded me of Astro Boy somehow....
I just voted for Zombie Gun because it is a battle manga, but Reversi has better art i think.
Reversi. I still think that Future Watch is the best series in Bakuman though.
Death Note was not popular for physical battles, was it? I want to see the battle of minds of Reversi.
I voted for Reversi, but I think that Eiji's oneshot will got more votes. I think that I am not the only one who thniks that Reversi is paralel to Death Note, and who read the DN oneshot(for me it wasn't something special) knows that series was a lot better. So I think that Eijis oneshot would get more votes but Reversi will be better manga in the end.
PS: Does somebody know who can be Eiji representing?

Reversi for me no matter what. I believe psychological battles done right are far more interesting then physical battles. AND Reversi does have the possibility for both.
Personally I'm going with Reversi for the same reason as basher. I love psychological battles as much as I like physical battles, and of course a good mix of both is even better. Reversi definitely has potential for both, and with Shuujin the chances of a psychological battle being done well is even higher.
I find it pretty interesting how much more Zombie Gun was able to sell than Reversi, despite Reversi defeating it on the questionnaires. I mean, I get all of Hattori's reasoning (Zombie Gun is by a popular author, not everyone buys the magazine and votes in the questionnaires), but the discrepancy is really quite amazing.
I stick to one: if it's psychological, it has to be that. If it's literally battle-induced, it has to be that. Mixing it together and the way Reversi is being told by Mashiro and Takagi doesn't seem so fluid enough for me. So I go for Zombie Gun.
Zombie Gun - another battle manga
Reversi - more or less to ashirogi muto as death note is to the authors, wouldn't be surprised if this arc is basically going to reflect their personal experiences with that manga.
