what it should be: Take care of Negi, please. Even if he's like that, he still worries me after all.["like that" meaning that he isn't human and wont easily die, as they were discussing in page 14]

It is a bit pointless to post here about it since i don't think he checks this MH section (and i don't know if anyone here has an account in RHS forums who could notify them about it).

I just post it here for the sake of anyone who uses these forums. this is not the first time RHS has made a mistake (we all make them) and Ive suggested corrections (anyone remember the v2 of this chapter?), but if I'm gonna keep on naggin them each and every single time, I might as well apply for a translator position. that said, I dont think Id have the time to do a proper job, so its kinda hypocritical of me to not want to join them but still be all over each and every single mistake I can spot.

I just posted this because I felt it the page made so much more sense this way (Setsuna's immediate reaction and what not).

still, if you believe this is should be brought up to him, feel free to do so in my place or point him my way. I'm fairly sure my translation is more correct, anyway. Like I said, I just don't want to be the guy who keeps complaining but refuses to do the work himself for whatever reason.

Does this mean that the future has been completely changed? If Negi is stuck with a child's body like Eva, doesn't that mean he can't have kids? If that's the case, Chao-san, who is said to be his descendent, will never be born. Would this mean that the blood-stained future Chao-san was talking about has been changed?

Man, so much has happened that this story's ending is unpredictable. Can't wait for the next chapter!

It looks like he might be able to reproduce either way, if we accept that what Chao Lignshen was saying was all the truth. I say that because according to her testimony, Negi develops a family tree which leads to her being offspring of his descendant (and not DNA andriod from Negi). And remember, above all, Chao was trying to raise the awareness magic's existence to prevent the wars of inhabiting/invading Mars, without knowledge of her existence or tampering with the time flow. Meaning that by maintaining the knowledge of magic's existence a secret (which world wide it is), still leaves the chances of allowing the War to occur. Also increasing the chances that Negi can still reproduce and yield the family tree (the reasoning here is not logical but the statistical exploration of the hypotheses by correlation, since she said she doesn't lie).

But one thing is certain, Ken wants his audience to know that the choices we make with courage are immutable (can't be changed), but how we can choose how we feel about them, and what we can do about those feelings onward (recurrent theme in his novels and speeches). So much so, that in the festival arc he allowed the chaos theory of time flow to be integral to the Negima series by having Negi meet with the past Negi has if that time lines were all ready present in the main time line (Yes, for all those who believe in Fate, here Ken is agreeing, but with a tad of sarcasm).

IOW, yeah, it looks like we get the blood-stained future after all. But what happens afterwards, its only a mystery.

From what I gathered though, from things like what Poyo said, and some thing from Chao herself, it does seems that in her timeline, Magic World collapsed, which seems something Negi will be able to prevent.

Now that you mention that, I think Poyo and Chao are talking about different catastrophes, since Chao lived 100yrs in the future in a Martian war, and Poyo was talking about his actions then lead to the magical collapse estimated to be in ten years. I can believe though it is a gradual degradation of MM due to the teraforming (which is why I believe teraforming is an idiotic idea). But to say that Negi was not able to transfer MMians and creatures to the teraform, that is conceivable.
Still we don't know how negi will prevent the Magical collapse of MM. Maybe that's what Asuna paid, her own life to extend MM from collapsing

thing is, even if the magic world collapses in 10 years, u still gotta wait for earthlings to get to mars and war it out. also, u dont know how long the war has been going on before Chao was born; she might have been born in the middle of it, meaning that the war started earlier than 100 years ago (from her point of view)

Another thing that makes me think that in Chao's timeline MW collapsed, and the normal humans were thrown at Mars (so CE plan failed or they did it but without Asuna) is:
*On Vol 12, ch105, last page, Chao comments when talking about the "underworld" (how they were calling the magic world back then) that the total population of mages is 67 million.
*On vol 29, ch 266, page 6, Godel comments he want to saves every single one of the 67 million fellow humans
*On vol 30, ch 272, page 13, Negi comments Godel only want to save those 67 million, while the MW population is much bigger.

Later on it shows those 67 million are the "real" humans living there. Godel wasn't considering the option of stopping the collapse, whihc mean all but the "real" humans would disappear with it. The reason Chao mentioned exactly that number also makes me think in her future only those survived, and the "puppets" would all disappear together with the magic world. Also if you reread the chapters where Negi talked with Godel, it seems a main reason he didn't end up teaming with him was because he already concluded the world was going to end because information from Chao. In Chao's timeline, as she wasn't there to make Negi go for that choice, he may have worked with Godel resulting in only saving the real people = not stopping the colapse of the magic world.

Yes, but then why would Poyo attack Negi on the tower if Negi already refused Godel's plan. I can assume she did not know, thus attacked Negi. But what made Negi decide above all to not join Godel was not the tip that MM was falling thanks to Chao, but that Godel contradicted himself when he said his plan conforms with his parents' ideals of saving everyone, not just the 67million. Call it my bluff, but I assume Negi would have still decided to not Join Godel because of that fatal statement (so biased).

Yes, thanks to Chao, Negi was able to decipher MM was falling, and included it in his refusal (as a way startle Godel more). But I agree that without it, he would not have worked hard to find a solution. Still it bothers me that Poyo would have allowed Cosmo Entelecheia to occur to pass on Chao's "wishes". I don't know if those were Chao's true wishes. Mmm....
