It's still cataloged as Jump Comics, not Jump Comics SQ.

It says Jump Comics on the cover of D. Gray Man. It says Jump Comics SQ on the cover of the other SQ series. Thus DGM often being listed with Weekly Jump titles. Same went for Steel Ball Run, it was Jump Comics rather than YJ Comics.

I just had really big argument about Jump Comics and Jump Comics SQ with other person, and that person did provide many reasons for considering Jump Comics SQ to be Jump Comics. However, I only remember one reason at this point.

One of reason that person gives me is Shueisha includes all of shonen manga's in Jump Comics; SQ series have different design to differentiate them from Shonen Jump and V Jump. However, the publisher treats SQ series as one of Jump Comic, like in s-manga.

Even though it has switched magazines, I included D.Gray-Man because it still has the blue JC at the top of the spine, the blue 集英社 at the bottom of the spine and the pirate logo/Jump Comic on the cover, just like Steel Ball Run and BASTARD!

If on the other hand all that stuff changed like Beshari Gurashi, I wouldn't consider it a Jump Comic anymore.

Wow,Toriko is consistently in 2nd..is it that good? I might think of following it then!
And Hunter x Hunter has always been in 1st,hasn't it? Something tells me that Togashi sensei won't go for a hiatus this time (and the story's getting way too interesting at this point).

Toriko is awesome. Feels a lot like one piece. It's very shouneny and very action packed.
The author really knows how to handle excitement and create tension. The characters are all written well(at least for the 4 emperors).
The beginning might not be as much fun but it gets better and way better.
It feels like a much more brutal one piece (although its not as crazy enough).
I'm posting this because I'm currently catching up

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

How do we have to interpret the data for "copies sold per Volume"?
    For example:

"Naruto broke 1,000,000 copies sold per Volume at Volume 6"

It means that the total sell for the first six volumes were 6.000.000 (6mln / 6 volumes = 1mln for volume), or that the volume 6 sold 1.000.000 copies in the time that volume 7 went out?

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2011] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 2

    Using hypothetical numbers...

When volume 6 reached 1 million copies sold
    -Volume 5 - 870k
    -Volume 4 - 890k
    -Volume 3 - 930k
    -Volume 2 - 910k
    -Volume 1 - 945k
It's just to ilustrate it. I have no idea of the real numbers.

On current days, almost all Naruto volumes sold more than 1 million copies. But Volume 6 was the very first one to do it.
    I hope it helped.

It's an extreme example, but now some know why 40k copies for a new series isn't enough for jump to justify it's stay in the magazine, even if the author is a new guy. looking at gintama and other that you can break 400k with under 5 volumes to underline my statement.
