Naruto Shippuuden Ep 234 Discussion

I really like when the animators give some screentime to minor characters that Kishi probably won't give too much time to. It was a nice way to give Konohamaru character development. I really liked the way Shikamaru took on a mentor role in this episode too, I never tire of him. They also tied it in nicely with why Tsunade didn't want Konohamaru (a kid) to participate in the war. All in all very nice episode. Only minuses were box carrying and too big crater from a regular Rasengan. Nice episode, lovely animation and artwork.

Yep. Shikamaru was just plain awesome in this episode. I don't think anyone noticed, but Konohamaru basically had 5-6 mentors in his life. That's the same amount Naruto has had so far. Shikamaru is also basically what Iruka is to Naruto to Konohamaru, which just makes it even better. The only thing that would've made it a bit better was a taijutsu battle with Enma.

Damn, I didn't think it would be like this but I've really missed watching the Naruto anime. I haven't watched any episode since the first two filler episodes. They scared me away with their awfulness. Since this episode is getting such positive feedback I'm going to download and watch it. I'll be back in 20 with an opinion.

Overall the same. But I was lucky enough to watch only the worthy fillers among this filler arc, like episode 232, I advice you to watch this one too. Unless you hate Hinata. ><

Whats up with the fillers i had thought that would restart the actually story line by now. Not much difference than the previous fillers.

The only thing I disliked was that after the Rescue Gaara arc I thought the manga showed Temari had a pretty high opinion of Naruto, what with her silent "thank you... Uzumaki" when Naruto shed tears for Gaara's sake. Though I guess her comment that a "a guy like Naruto wouldn't have a good student" was more a reference to her thoughts on his ability to teach others rather than her opinion of him as a person and ninja.

And yeah, the rasengan was too powerful (heck the crater was almost as big as the one Naruto made training rasenshuriken), especially when Kishi drew the one Konohamaru used on Pain as being a fair amoutn smaller than the regular version Naruto uses.

mmm it's been fun to see konohamaru,in fact in the manga we haven't been seeing him for long. I wonder if we will see him in the war or not.
