Actually I believe if you left the squads, you will be confined or stripped off your reatsu, and not demotions / promotions (:
Urahara is a special case, as he was proven innocent, and even while they thought of him as guillty, they did not hunt him down.. Probably there was doubts all along whether Urahara was guilty or not within Gotei 13, but the politicians/judges had another view.
Guess Gotei 13 protected Urahara with their military dominance since they knew of him in the real world, yet did nothing.

So it seems fine to be promoted or demoted, as long you "stay" within the squads or royal squads.
I could imagine Hinamori being demoted in order to protect her, she probably can regain her strength, but her personality is likely busted for many, many years to come. I don't think she will be confined, rather, if demoted she will get easy jobs to her strength level.

Thinking about it, you might refer to the lies Urahara told about in turn back the pendulum? That SS would tell everyone that someone had retired, but in reality, they were put in jail..?

Could be if you're said to be "retired", then it means jail between the lines.

I just got to read the chapter and... i dont even... the fuck?
All fullbrings but Jackie are total NUTJOBS, someone call the people with the white coats to take them to the happy place.

Killing your wife just cause you can? Thats a 10/10 on the Insanity scale
Keeping a human in a box? 9/10

But i have to admit im not so sure if Gamerboys flashback makes him very insane, its more like what he said about making his dad commit suicide. That is a 9/10 too.
And well we all know that Tsuki and Ginjou are insane in their own way.

I do feel bad for Jackie, she actually didn't do anything bad. It was her father who did the bad thing. Finding your entire family dead must be one hell of an emotional trauma.

I hope Rukia will kill Rirukia, she freaks me out after knowing that she kept a grown up man because she fell in love at the age of 7.
So whats an underaged girl that loves adults called? There gotta be a term for that.

What the heck happened to kubo? Is this the same guy that did the renji and rukia's flashbacks back then?
What is this..I can't comprehend with this sudden flashback thrown at me and trying to gain my sympathy.
All it did was make me confuse and very disappointed as a reader. This chapter just completely destroyed
the image of the fullbringers that kubo spent 40 chapters developing.
I have alot to say, but it'll make me a total ragenut.

The thing with Rurika is that she did the sort of stupid thing a small child with that kind of power would. She tried to make him like her by putting him in a box, so he'd be all hers. Of course someone whos kidnapped and shrunk by a 6 year old is not going to take it well. But to a kid it makes sense because they don't fully understand the effects of their actions. They don't realize what will actually happen. So I don't think she's evil. To a certain degree her words sound like she's trying to convince herself that what they are doing is justified. The thing I find intresting is the talk about how those with greater numbers always win. I wonder if Ginjou's end goal is to create more fullbringers.

To be honest, I have nothing against this chapter. I enjoyed the little backstories, irrespective if they make a difference to the story or not. The bitter experiences and having a power, sort of corrupted their mind. Riruka vs. Rukia just turned interesting in the last panel. I was expecting it to be a boring contest all the way. Next chapter will take us back to Byakua vs. Tsuki .

Freeing Rukia from the doll broke her contact with her sword again preventing her from counter attacking. It also probably needed to be done for Riruka to use whatever she used at the end.

I guess we'll be seeing the dimensions fall after Bya vs Tsuki, it had to be 5 minutes already. If Rukia can't freeze her wounds, she needs to be out of the dimension for somebody to take care of her. Or I don't know, maybe she'll win in the end.

Meh really boring chapter.

Backstory on useless fullbringers that are fodder level. Not only that but really boring done. I also hate how that guy killed his wife.... Kubo defenetly could have kept that out, Kubo could have used some random guy on the street.

Then we have Rukia vs Riruka that is again very boring for me.

Now next chapter i hope we get Rukia 1 shoting Riruka in 1 panel and them moving to Byakuya and Ichigo as those are the only fights that are intersting at this point.

Perhaps this is just because of having such great Naruto and One Piece chapters but meh i find Bleach really boring right now after a horible and useless fullbring arc that had no meaning with Ichigo tring to get fullbring just to lose it at the last second and get a sword stabed into him and restoring his powers... Kishi could have spent 1 panel with Ichi going to school and then the sword piercing him and it would be same damn thing.
The only chapter that i really liked is when Ichi got his REAL powers back.

Well, if Yukio dies they won't see that battle for sure
When he opens dimensions, that means he agrees to Hitsu's bargain. Freeing them in exchange for his life.
But yeah, I think that will happen next chapter. Not because they need to see Ichigo fight but they should hear whatever relevations Ginjo has ready for us. And Rukia probably needs help

Hey Sky I didn't mean other flashbacks were so great, but the way most were timed was more sensible. I actually like how he grouped them together in one chapter to give you the big picture, but I felt this should have happened earlier when they lost. Riruka's shoulda been separate, cause she is one of the 3 with extra focus. She is a much darker character than we originally thought.

Since most of us zeroed in on how loony these guys all are, except one (maybe two cause Shishi is just a thug not a maniac), I pondered and realized they might have a good excuse. They were infused with Hollow power before birth so the same way their powers were born, these negative behaviours they are displaying could be the result of the same pre-birth attacks. Afterall, Hollows are stripped down versions of their former selves....embodiments of negative energy. So that darkness was probably transferred too.

Well I agree somewhat...the chapter had some boring parts, that's true...but that's mainly because of the nature of Riruka's ability, which is well...
But if we get backstory, if we get some depth to the characters, then it means that the characters are no fodder anymore, because their appearance does have some meaning...and for that I liked this chapter...Kubo seems to think a lot about this human vs. shinigami vs hollow topic, as far as existence goes(their status in the world, what justifies their existence etc...)
